STARTING OFF today listening to Senator Jim Inhoffe, all I could wonder is how anyone could trust someone like him with our foreign policy. His insulting diatribe against Hagel was a very low point for Senate speak.
Buzzfeed has an incredible article about Chuck Hagel and the course he taught at Georgetown. It says more about the man than you’re going to learn through the confirmation process, which Republicans are quickly turning into a race to the bottom.
It was good to see respected Republican senator and former Navy secretary John Warner beside Hagel today. At least there are a few Republicans who believe that questioning Israel’s actions, while saying yes to every funding bill for them, doesn’t mean you’re anti Israel.
Well the witch hunt is on, and its been ugly. The wing nuts are out to slap the President down by tearing Hagel apart. It also looks like Lindsey Graham will filibuster Hagel from coming to a vote on the senate floor. If that happens we can thank Harry Reid for caving on his promise. Looks like more of the same from the wing nuts.
Sen. Inhofe (spelled with one ‘f’, BTW) is no stranger to witch hunts on behalf of well-heeled special interests. Whatever is wrong with Chuck Hagel, you won’t be hearing it from him.
