FROM CNN, with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie taking to the airwaves, laying out Speaker Boehner for his lack of leadership in the House.
Christie said he was given assurances that the House would consider the package after it dealt with the fiscal cliff deal that it passed Tuesday night. But late Tuesday, he said, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor told him that the “authority for the (Sandy) vote was pulled by the speaker.”
Christie said he then “called the speaker four times last night, and he didn’t take my calls.”
“Every day that we don’t begin to get this aid are days that we can’t get people back in their homes, get businesses reopened. … It’s absolutely disgraceful,” Christie said.
Christie’s bully pulpit put to good use.
That Speaker John Boehner allowed this to happen should be enough to get him sacked from his speakership. This is what Congress is supposed to do in times of dire emergencies. It’s political malpractice and every single Republican responsible should pay for it with his or her job.

I think Boehner and Obama deserve each other. They’re both a disgrace.
I just went and checked out what Christie said. His exact words were “There is only one group to blame for the continued suffering of these innocence victims the house majority and their speaker John Boehner”! The man never mentioned President Obama’s name.
You are so predictable fangio, had to get your hatred for Obama in on a post about Boehner and Christie. Hahahahahahaha! Too funny.
More fangio false equivalency.
And this piece of fangio false equivalency is particularly ridiculous. The NJ Gov. praised President Obama’s response to Sandy at the time and if you watch Christie’s comments now he reserved all his criticisms for Boehner and Congress in general. Someone needs to inform fangio that President Obama isn’t member of Congress.
My comment had nothing to do with Christie. It was simply comparing Boehner and Obama, since they’re both useless. Correct me if I’m wrong but didn”t your joy boy Obama sign an executive order giving the worst congress in history a pay raise. Did not his own party repudiate him for doing so. Did he not throw Social Security and Medicare into the mix without having to do so. What happened to the mandate the voters gave him? Same thing that happened to the last one. As for Boehner, he’s weak and craven and has no business being in a position of power; just like Obama.
“My comment had nothing to do with Christie.” So you freely admit that your post was just your latest deranged off topic attack on the President? Good to know!
My pleasure.
The future is going to be cruel to the likes of you. Obama4Ever!
Come the revolution, the sycophants usually get it first. Which would you prefer: death by firing squad, or bludgeoning. Hey, did you hear about all those subsidies for corporate America in that bill; bet you didn’t get any. Bye!
Come the revolution? Is that similar to the coming race war white supremacist are always talking about? Are really this nutz or did your meds run out? LOL!
Lordy what ain’t even there knows we have had differences in the past but DAMN you hit that nail square on it’s lil ol head!!!!
Was that rude?
Boehner et all need to be sacked big time. They have declared war on everything that is good and decent and necessary to the people in this country. There’s a special place in hell for these goons.
