US President Barack Obama speaks during a campaign rally at Austin Straubel International Airport in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on November 1, 2012. AFP
OHIO PUTS him over the top.
…and on cue, Fox News is reporting that Chris Wallace has talked to Team Romney who is disputing Ohio.

Fox News Channel calls Ohio for Obama.
Fox News Channel analysts are blowing Karl Rove out of the water on camera with Megyn Kelly, who got up from the anchor desk to go backstage to talk to the suits. It’s a classic Fox moment that puts a cap on the network’s abominable coverage, which amounted to fairy dust analysis, a clover and keeping fingers crossed.
Evidently, it’s the Karl Rove network.
Now Bret Baier is looking around after calling Rove back to the set.
Amateur hour.

Game. Set. Match.
WOW! That was fast; kind of boring, actually.
Appreciate the update, Taylor!
ROMNEY IS DISPUTING OHIO…
Chris Wallace reporting on Fox…
I just saw that. Time to pop some popcorn…
Romney camp is not accepting the Ohio call. There will be no speeches from Romney or anyone else until all the votes are counted. They claim the press has made the wrong call.
It’s all over but the crying.
Where’s Mark on all this?
Mark?
Hubby Mark (unless I’ve a bad memory). What is his final assessment on all things Obama/Romney?
Sounds as if there is no joy in Faux-land. Mighty Rovey has struck out….
It is interesting that Nate Silver hasn’t called it yet….
Florida was called for Gore in the early going back in 2000. Have to go look at the numbers, I guess…
Oh, yeh….I remember that….ugh..
Yeah, but FNC also had Bush’s nephew in the back, too.
As of about midnight Eastern time, ABC’s Ohio page has Obama down by about 20k votes out of roughly 5 million counted, but is still projecting him as the winner.
Sorry, here is that link. That was with 78% of the vote supposedly counted.
Thanks!
The title of this article made me laugh. It captures the Fox debacle well:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/06/fox-news-contesting-own-election-call_n_2085817.html
I’m sure the howling has just begun.
Nate Silver just updated his blog:

The title of the article needs a change.
He is still the 44th President. The number only changes when the person changes.
We stayed blue here in Philly as I knew we would. I did some calling at Obama HQ on Saturday and confirmed my sense that Pennsylvania was not really in play.
The original title was 44.
If he’s stuck with the same freaks in the house what difference does it make anyway. Wasn’t four years of divided government enough.
Yep seems like we spent a whole lot of time, money and energy just to keep the dysfunctional status quo.
Right you are. For $2 billion, we get the same-old/same-old. Can’t get excited about that.
