THE REPORTS vary on specifics, but all reveal the continuing carnage in Syria.
Four blasts ripped through a government-controlled district close to a military officers’ club in the northern Syrian city of Aleppo, killing at least 40 people and wounding more than 90, opposition activists said.
“A medical source said that at least 40 people were killed and 90 injured,” said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. “Most of them were regime troops.”
Meanwhile, official television channel Al-Ikhbariya said 31 people were killed and dozens wounded.

I wonder if the rebels have officers’ clubs yet. Can’t help but wonder, after so long at DoD. They seem to be supported by doctrine as essential to the operation of any modern fighting force.
