Bush Architect of Katrina Response Disaster Criticizes Obama for Acting Too Quickly on Sandy

NO, THIS isn’t a headline from The Onion. It’s George W. Bush’s former FEMA Director Michael “Heck of a Job” Brownie reminding American voters what happens when a Republican sits in the Oval Office and a catastrophe strikes.

Barack Obama has completely ignored climate change, but let’s not pretend that Mitt Romney isn’t being bankrolled by even bigger bucks in the fossil fuel (see the Koch Bros. and big oil), big coal and climate denier crowd. Does anyone believe Romney-Ryan would be a friend to alternative energy, the environment, or would keep faith with Teddy Roosevelt’s legacy to protect our country’s natural resources?

You just can’t make this stuff up.

“One thing he’s gonna be asked is, why did he jump on [the hurricane] so quickly and go back to D.C. so quickly when in…Benghazi, he went to Las Vegas?” Brown says. “Why was this so quick?… At some point, somebody’s going to ask that question…. This is like the inverse of Benghazi.” [Think Progress -- h/t Denver Westword]

Not to get off track, but I can’t let Mr. Brown’s shot at President Obama on Benghazi go. I’ve explained this in exhaustive detail, the latest here, so will just briefly say that someone like Michael Brown is not equipped to know, let alone analyze, what happens when an asymmetrical attack happens on a consulate meant to have a low profile in highly dangerous territory. The explanation by the Administration for what happened in Benghazi was badly handled, but that in no way means anyone “lied” or that there was a “cover up.” President Obama finally summed it up exactly right when he said recently that the election is not about the four Americans killed in Benghazi. Michael Brown getting in a cheap shot won’t change that fact.

The over riding quality that these repugnantklan/teabagger societal parasites have is a complete and utter lack of any sense of shame whatsoever. This pathetic excuse for a man was DIRECTLY responsible for…what was it? 1000 15000 American dieing in a COMPLETELY preventable disaster that was, like 9/11 pretty much laid out before the event happened but the repugs pooh poohed.
And now this scum bucket slithers out from under the rock down at the cesspool and disgorges his verbal toxic waste.
Hell, maybe he’s hoping Mitt da Twit will rehire him to dismantle FEMA.

Wow! Talk about irony. The FEMA director who could’t shoot straight while NOLA drowned has the unmitigated gall to criticize POTUS for acting too quickly in behalf of Sandy’s victims. If you made this stuff up, no one would believe it!

The storm coverage that Sandy has provoked is driving Republicans into a frenzy. They’re flailing all over the place. One can only imagine how Christie’s comments praising Obama is going over. And then the Big Guy said he didn’t give a damn about the election or whether Sir Willard showed up or not. Shut the Fox team up. For a second at least.

The car companies have come out publicly to roast Romney for those ‘jobs being sent to China’ ad. So what does the man do? Double down, of course. I read the GOP is moving money to Pennsylvania. Clearly, they’ve screwed the pooch in Ohio.

This is a train wreck in the making! The Prez is one lucky SOB. He didn’t get my vote [I went for Stein] but honestly, the man has a lucky star over his head. Unreal!

Wouldn’t one think that this negligent incompetent “Brownie” fool would hang his head in shame and keep silent about anything or anyone else in these situations? My gawd, how can one critique another for reacting too quickly to any disaster unless they are named George W. Bush and his favorite criminal incompetent, Michael Brownie. In disasters and in the hands of competent, humane leaders, there is no such thing as “too soon”.

STFU yesterday, Michael! Go back to grooming horses, you horses ass.

newdealdem1 – Republicans have no shame, never did, never will. They wouldn’t know the truth if it hit them in the face like a 2-ton truck.

One cannot disagree with your assessment as every bit of objective evidence supports that conclusion. The unsettling part of that bothersome history is that they’ve convinced many people to agree with them even if the evidence hits them smack dab in their jowls.

Listened to Michael Brown interview on Sirius/XM POTUS radio today. He says he was referring to the political implications of the timing of Obama’s press conference. Overall he was quite complimentary of the way Obama has handled this.

Brownie doing a little damage control after making himself look like the fool he is.
