A BREAKING STORY from the Associated Press:
A suicide bomber killed at least 25 civilians and wounded another 30 at a funeral for a village elder in a remote part of eastern Afghanistan, Afghan officials said. Ahmad Zia Abdul Zai, a spokesman for the provincial governor, said the attack took place on Tuesday in the village of Shagai in the Durbaba district of eastern Nangarhar province. He and other officials said at least 25 people were killed.
As much trouble as Afghanistan is currently causing Pres. Obama, Bill Kristol slammed Mitt Romney last week, saying “he didn’t mention Afghanistan, he didn’t mention the troops, didn’t even thank the troops for their their service.”
Come Thursday, this glaring omission by Romney at the Republican National Convention will be answered strongly and loudly in Charlotte. So, get ready for it.
Obama will declare, upon Osama bin Laden being killed on his watch, with Al Qaeda decimated, that Democrats are now the national security party of record.
