“My point was not to lay blame on a plant shutdown, but this is yet another example of the president’s broken promises,” added the GOP vice presidential candidate. “In 2008, he traveled all around the country making promises he would break, just like in Janesville.” [Politico]
AFTER PAUL RYAN‘s speech at the Republican National Convention, the incoming on his charge on Pres. Obama’s role in the General Motors’ Janesville, Wisc. plant closing was overwhelming.
“Right there at that plant, candidate Obama said: ‘I believe that if our government is there to support you this plant will be here for another hundred years.’ That’s what he said in 2008. Well, as it turned out, that plant didn’t last another year.”
It seemed he was blaming Barack Obama for the plant closing, when it actually shut down on George W. Bush’s watch.
Team Romney has done a rewrite, which first began with Ryan explaining and clarifying what he meant. But if you’re explaining you’re losing. So now they’ve released a new web video detailing the Janesville plant as “another broken promise.”

Bring in the clowns. Oh, nevermind, they are already here.
Love this article by Paul Krugman who accurately calls Paul Ryan the political Rosie Ruiz, one of the first women to run in the Boston Marathon in 1980 who cheated and lied her way to the finish line by hopping in a taxi. Ouch! lol
