Obama on Letterman: President Must “Work for Everyone”

MITT ROMNEY got an example of how you state the job of the president more elegantly last night on Letterman.

A tough 24 hours teed up the conversation easily for the President, though it should also be noted that David Letterman is the easiest interview on planet earth.

This wasn’t soft ball, it was powder puff stuff. And few do these types of interviews better than Obama.

Too bad the president doesn’t work for everyone.

Go Romney, I would rather have someone who can run the country and get us out of the economice mess that Obama has created, than someone who gets wussy treatment from the media and could care less about “the people”.

Obama has worked wonders for the Stock Market, the Military Industrial Complex, and the 1%. Maybe he’ll get to the rest of us in his second term. Maybe not.

Obama didnt create the economic mess, but he hasn’t articulated a vision for getting us out of it that is at all Progressive. We needed a New New Deal in 2009, with big tax increases on the very rich. What we got was lukewarm slop which saved us from national catastrophe but did nothing to fix the real problem- the inherent inequities of our tax system and the moribund wages the middle and lower classes struggle to survive under. That would have taken boldness, and not even Solo could get away with equating “Obama” with “Boldness.”

Oh, who am I kidding. Of course he could.
