Missouri’s Todd Akin Launches “Women for Akin”

A REPORT from TPM posts a weird video, with women endorsing Akin actually hidden from view in parts of it, as they tout their candidate.

As you see from the graphic, they don’t have enough people around to even spell check their promotions.

Claire McCaskill is now polling just a few points above Akin, depending on the poll you use, with a debate on Friday.

If Missouri is anything like the state I fled decades ago, I’d bet they’ll elect this guy. Republicans in Missouri are that bad.

The other issue is that Claire McCaskill has lost her base and other likely voters remember how closely she is tied to President Obama, who is not well liked in the Show Me state.

Still, Todd Akin is as extreme as you can get, having no respect for women’s rights at all, so why would Missourians want such a far right-wing person representing their state in the Senate?

      Oh! Me too, Art.

She’s now down to 5 pts ahead, from 10 in August.

As long as there are still “Log Cabin Republicans,” who put lower taxes for the rich ahead of Civil Rights for THEMSELVES, I don’t find this surprising in the slightest.

Oh, and I’m not at all convinced that Akin isn’t going to win this thing.

I’m not exactly fond of Claire but I’ve got to root for her on this one. Are the women in MO that backwards?

      Jane Austen,
you can take your stupid elitist comment about Missouri women and shove it.

How anyone could vote for Aire Claire is beyond me. She is a known liar and a known tax cheat.

Which is worse, voting for someone who only says stupid things, or voting for someone you know is dishonorable by their actions.?
