Buchanan: If Welfare is a “Narcotic,” Barack Obama is a “Drug Dealer”

NOBODY BOILS down Republican extremism better than Patrick J. Buchanan. Quoting F.D.R., then twisting it into an example for maximum affect, the Southern strategy guru is reeling it out on Fox these days, after MSNBC kicked him to the curb.

A writer who boiled down Bush’s Iraq war misadventurism better than most, Buchanan once offered a voice of what conservatism meant at its root. Now he’s a freaked out white man afraid minorities are going to ruin America as he sees it.

When he’s not railing against the brown and black, he’s hoping to hold off a female president to “2040 or 2050.”

Buchanan’s the spokesperson for Tea Party types and Paulites, who live in a world where facts aren’t accepted and hyperbole is the ode to their own fears and ignorance.

Who let this worm slither out from under his rock? It seems all the maggots and worms are slithering to Mittens defense. Poor Mittens, he’s circling the drain, and the maggots and worms will be there to feed of the flesh.

    Taylor,

Patrick J. Buchanan has been off the reservation for a long, long, long, long time. He is the crackpot who wrote a book that argued that the US should have not entered WWII. I find it very ironic that a man who was the scion of a hated immigrant minority, should be such a toxic Nativist. What a difference five generations makes.

It shows you the bankruptcy of the Media that “Uncle Pat” was ever allowed on MSNBC and was a figure on “legitimate” broadcasting for so long. He should have been booted out of polite conversation all the way back in the 1980′s. But his crack-pot, far-right, anti-immigrant, troglodyte views make for great entertainment, and he drew in eyeballs. Thus, he was allowed to spew his toxic views for thirty years, and then some. He and Fox belong together like peas and carrots.
