Romney Falls for Harry Reid’s Rope-a-Dope

OR IN THIS case I guess I should call it rope-a-twit.

“I have paid taxes every year. A lot of taxes. A lot of taxes.”Mitt Romney

It all began when Majority Leader Harry Reid started punching by floating an unsubstantiated rumor that Mitt Romney didn’t pay taxes for 10 years.

Jon Stewart stepped in to play referee.

And even as Sen. Reid started to become the story, he said, I’ll decide who’s ref on this one and doubled down.

Then down went Romney.

He he just couldn’t keep his mouth shut and now Mitt Romney sounds like a parody of himself.

What have we come to that a specious , tax evading hypocrite has even the slightest chance of being elected president. Perhaps it is because the people and corporate scum whose support he has would like to live vicariously through him. As I said in a comment last night, maybe it’s time voters had a taste of what it is like to live in a one party police state controlled by the one percent. I would suggest they all go out and by some sort of soft pillow like face mask so they can protect themselves when the one percent and Romney wipe their feet on them.

Wait until what Neil Barofsky has warned about happens. A financial crisis worse than 2008, because the banks are bigger than ever.

I have seen several sites reporting, with links, a CNN person backing up Reid’s accusations.

Dude as far as Mitt Romney and his religion goes it gets worse! I found out through a tweet that the reason Mitt Romney lies so often is because it’s part of his religion. In Mormonism it is permissible to lie to non believers if it furthers the agenda of the church. Yikes!

      • Uh-oh August 5, 2012 at 2:35 pm #

I can’t believe that you actually put that out there. Oh yeah, everyone knows that if you read it on the internet or it is “tweeted” then it must be true.

          Uh-oh;

Unfortunately this is part of the Mormon faith. It is permissible to lie to “Gentiles” to further one goals. In the salad days of the Church of Latter Day Saints, relations between “Gentiles” and the “Saints” were um, “complicated.” There is reason the Saints finally ended up “in the middle of nowhere.”

Does this mean that Romney is lying because his faith gives him carte blanc? Meh, hard to say. Mitt does play fast and loose with the truth, but it may have nothing to do with being a Mormon; and everything with being a political hack.

            Spincitysd:

“Fast and loose with the truth”? The man lies about everything. Other Republicans have called him a liar. The guy is detested by his people in his own party. Fast and loose? Talk about understatement.

          Uh-oh:

Of course I didn’t just hit retweet! The tweet came with a link and I did some independent research using the Google. Mormonism allows for the lying to non believers if it is deemed in the interest of the church. Sorry if that absolute historical fact offends you!

Romney is certainly a bad politician no doubt about that but when I talk to GOP friends, some of them are deluded enough to believe that Newt or Santorum would be doing better. I’m thinking you have to be kidding??? I mean Romney is bad but no one questions whether he is sane or not. Newt would have already imploded and Santorum would have already lost the election while Romney is treading water.

Pass the popcorn Taylor, I’m loving this Mormon on Mormon smack-down.
