**UPDATED**

ONE RARE Rasmussen poll I’m thrilled to cite.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the Show Me State finds McCaskill earning 48% support to Akin’s 38%. Nine percent (9%) like some other candidate in the race, and five percent (5%) are undecided.
Go get ‘im, Claire.
UPDATE: What if Akin bails, which is still the best bet? Except for the fact that the religious right is starting to back up Akin in force.

Let’s hope this is accurate…..or as accurate as polls get anyway.
It seems that republicans taking control of the senate just got a little bit harder.
Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of clowns.
Seconded.
But Republicans are going to mount a write-in campaign, ala Lisa Murkowski, and if they get Kit Bond to play this race will likely flip again.
If Atkins doesn’t get out all a write in will do is give Murkowski a bigger win. I think its a little to late for the Kit Bond trick.
I think you’ve mixed up your states or need an edit there, but no matter…
Actually, it’s not any later for the write-in idea than it would be if Akin delays dropping out.
I still don’t think it will come to the rogue write-in idea.
If Akin drops (still the best bet).
Do really they they will do a write-in?
oops never mind, I see you answered my question, while I was writing it.
It’s wild in Missouri, cjoblak!
Go get ‘im, Claire.
Not in my most vivid nightmares, would I have thought one day I would be seconding this declaration. That’s how far down we’ve travelled to Wonderland. I would rather face Alice’s nemesis, the fire-breathing, fearsome Jabberwocky http://tinyurl.com/99zv3s7
than have the human-monster Akin anywhere near the Senate.
But, I’m still worried that crazy will pull it off. We have a long way to go before election day and if this looney tunes continues, I still think the crazies in the tea party are angry enough at the GOP for throwing Akin under the Zamboni that they will coordinate their efforts to GOTV just enough to squeak by Claire. I hope to all that is good and righteous, I’m wrong.
So, in addition to seconding what Taylor said, I’ll declare it myself.
Go get ‘im, Claire.
I never thought I’d utter it.
