Jenna Jameson Schools Clinton Eastwood on Romney Tax Policy

Watch Study: Romney Tax Plan Would Most Benefit Wealthy Americans on PBS. See more from PBS NewsHour.

“It’s now more important than ever that we need Gov. Romney, and I’m going to be voting for him as I know most of you will be,” he said. “We’ve got to just spread the word and get the whole country behind this because it’s going to be an exciting election.” Eastwood said he excepted to Romney to “restore, hopefully, a decent tax system that we need badly.” – Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood endorses Romney [The Hill]

ON PBS this week, Judy Woodruff had a tax debate on what Mitt Romney’s tax plan would mean for Americans [transcript]. Upshot from the Tax Policy Center (PDF): for the 1% it’s great; for the middle class it’s a disaster.

When endorsing Romney, Eastwood also had this to say, remembering back when Romney was running for governor of Massachusetts: “I said, `God, this guy is too handsome to be governor, but he does look like he could be president.’”

The candidate from central casting finally managed the perfect retort, while wooing donors: “He just made my day.”

Jenna Jameson, who endorsed Mitt Romney before Clinton Eastwood did, provided the perfect review of the Romney tax plan, which on paper doesn’t resemble anything like what Eastwood is touting.

“I’m very looking forward to a Republican being back in office,” Jameson said while sipping champagne in a VIP room at Gold Club in the city’s South of Market neighborhood. “When you’re rich, you want a Republican in office.” [Huffington Post via CBS San Francisco]

Know one ever said Eastwood was smart; except when finding a hot young wife to spend his declining years with.

    It’s just so comical.

This is so sad. Mr. Eastwood has shown himself ,ESPECIALLY with Unforgiven and Letters from Iwo Jima, to be a sensitive and thoughtful as well as a consummately talented Artist, Director and Actor.
How the HELL can he in any sane way reconcile that with supporting this meat puppet and the insane, anti-American domestic terrorists they represent and want to turn even MORE of our national wealth and soul over to?!!!!!

You’ll never understand how people come to their vote or begin to change those who actually may be misinformed, because you’re only interested in disrespecting people whose political views are different from yours.

I’d bet you Eastwood would think, perhaps even say, the same of you, with variations for a conservative theme.

Clint Eastwood can be just as you describe in your 1st paragraph, while perhaps not even looking at details on his tax policy, which is reviewed in the link & video I provide.

Then there’s the real William F. Buckley conservatism, which is moored in more libertarianism, which rejects the role of government in modern society. That’s a real challenge for progressives, because the Tea Party is becoming more entrenched in Congress. If GOP wins the Senate, watch out.

        Ms marsh, Respectfully…that’s bullshit.

I have time after time here and everywhere else in the cybershere and face to face asked in all seriousness for some conservative or republican to explain to me why and how they support such blatantly dishonest, unconstitutional and disassociated from reality policies and politicians who are EASILY shown by facts to be so.
NO ONE has ever tried to answer except with supplied talking points and more lies.
THEN I respond with the sarcasm, contempt and ridicule they have earned and deserve.
Like I say to Creationist wack jobs regarding “ID” show me the data, show me the facts and if they support your hypothesis I will change my opinion.

“If GOP wins the Senate, watch out.”
If these domestic terrorists DO win control of the Senate..then America DESERVES what’s going to happen.

It’s funny! Just browsing the internet about comments concerning Eastwood and that Chrysler Superbowl commercial. Basically Dems – Eastwood not that bad of guy. Repubs – how could Eastwood do that. Just to funny.

Clint Eastwood is a brilliant filmmaker. Nothing can change that fact.

Whenever someone mixes politics with their art or profession there’s blowback.

It was funny today. On Twitter, while I was having a MARVELOUS Saturday, I checked Twitter. #tcot was trending with conservatives comparing “their” celebrities to liberal celebrities. One tweeted that conservatives had Clint Eastwood & Chuck Norris, “liberals” have Roseanne Barr & Michael Moore. I couldn’t resist, finding the whole thing very amusing, so I tweeted add George Clooney & Lady Gaga.
