WHAT IS IT about Mitt Romney that leads fellow and powerful Mormon men, Jon Huntsman for one, now Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, to go for the jugular against him with such relish? They just don’t like the guy, but in Harry Reid’s case, anonymous sources are giving him plenty of ammunition and he’s trying to get the press to keep applying pressure.
“I am not basing this on some figment of my imagination,” Reid said in a telephone call with Nevada reporters. “I have had a number of people tell me that.”
Asked to elaborate on his sources, Reid declined. “No, that’s the best you’re going to get from me.”
“I don’t think the burden should be on me,” Reid said. “The burden should be on him. He’s the one I’ve alleged has not paid any taxes. Why didn’t he release his tax returns?”
The Romney campaign responded, saying the attacks are “baseless, unfounded or demonstrably false.”
To which everyone says under their breath, prove it. But there’s no evidence that Team Romney thinks he has to.

Has anyone else noticed a sort of dazed or confused look in Mitt’s eyes? I think he has lied so much and done so many one eighties that he does not know what end is up. He seems to be getting a little meaner and nastier.He could barely restrain himself from using a mocking tone when he lied about the intent of his “the differences are cultural” statement in Israel.He just almost snarled his lip when he said the word Palistinians

OK, two posts in a row! Taylor, I am stunned you think anonymous “oh, someone told me this” accusations of felonious (unless the allegation is that it was legal not to pay taxes, because of shelters, etc.) behavior. No, Harry doesn’t have to offer any proof — he just gets to throw a bomb out there and let it explode and provide ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER.
I’m just going to guess what you would have said if someone had said that about HRC four years ago. Come on — what happened to innocent until proven guilty? This is no better than Joe McCarthy, really.
