Check out Annie-Rose Strasser’s piece at Think Progress regarding the “Fox and Friends” discussion about what Rivera also called a possible “lesbian cabal.” Strasser notes that Gretchen Carlson, the one “female host,” is “clearly … uncomfortable,” and apparently tries to change the subject. Unsuccessfully.
RIVERA: Is the sub-text of the Department of Homeland Security scandal that there is some kind of lesbian kabal, that it’s a same sex takeover. …It seems everyone is talking around it. Is that really what people are saying, that men are disadvantaged because women and specifically lesbians are ruling the roost there?
CARLSON: I don’t know about that last part.[...]
KILMEADE: We don’t know for sure. But it’s easy to come to that conclusion that there is some different type of glass ceiling separating the Homeland Security Department in this case.
RIVERA: No machos need apply?
Strasser makes another observation:
… it’s understandable that Rivera might not know about women in leadership positions. His own employer, Fox News Corporation, seems to have just one female executive out of 10, and one female board member out of 16.
I just got out of the hospital after a 4 day stay…had the joy(sarcasm alert) of actually experiencing the fevered rantings and WWF level of buffoonery and raving that is the faux not news channel….. It is truly astounding that this utter insanity is the mouthpiece for one of the two parties in the arguably most powerful country on the planet. They are gibbering imbeciles….and that is being generous.
Hey sec, I hope you’re doing okay now. Sorry to hear about the hospital stay. I make a lot of clinic visits with my parents, and the television in every waiting room may bring about my own meltdown someday, especially when it’s FOX “news.”

I haven’t actually seen Geraldo doing “news” or “commentary” or anything else in many years, and only noticed this very weird piece because it was at Think Progress. It’s very likely the last time I’ll ever make myself listen to him.
Thank y’all for the words of concern and encouragement…..I really think it would do a world of good if everyone at least once had to do some serious hospital time.
