News Desk: Damascus Under Seige

A REPORT from Voice of America:

Parts of Syria’s capital were under siege Thursday with Syrian government forces battling rebels in and around Damascus in pitched fighting.

Activists reported a campaign of shelling and house-to-house raids in Daraya, on the southwest edge of Damascus, as well as continuing clashes in the city’s Hajar al-Aswad district.

[...] In Ankara, Turkish and U.S. officials are holding their first “operational planning” meeting aimed at bringing about the end of Assad’s embattled regime. Thursday’s deliberations are expected to coordinate military, intelligence and political responses to the Syrian crisis.

The people involved in arming, funding, facilitating, providing fighters, and fueling the violence in Syria are the same people complaining about the violence. Have they no shame?
Why is al-quadea and islamic juhad a better alternative to Bashar Assad?

It is clear that Assad has the support of the Syrian people.

It is also clear that the violence in Syria is coming in from the outside.

Diplomacy was never even attempted. Sad.
