AS SOMEONE born and raised in Missouri it’s simply unacceptable to think that my home state could elect this ignorant man to the Senate. Todd Akin actually believes that a woman who’s been raped can “shut the whole thing down” and keep from becoming pregnant herself.
Words. Fail.
Claire McCaskill is a Blue Dog, Obama-backing Democrat with little to laud, but seriously, Missouri, even Republicans should send a message and either skip this vote on the ballot or simply write in someone else. Anyone voting for Todd Akin proves they don’t have our country’s best interest in mind.
If Akin can’t figure out the basics of human biology, which we all learn as a kid, there is no way he can make intelligent choices on war and peace.

I cannot explain it…Adkins is a total nutcase. It is amazing to me how many people are totally tuned out. I think the only people voting in MO are wingnuts. In the recent primary the vote for putting prayer in school on the November ballot was a landslide only 17% of the voters voted against it.

Several brainiacs in St. Louis were quoted as saying, ” since everything was already over there we might as well get it over with. ” Yeah! we got it over with. Of course it was Truman, another brainiac, who remains the only person in history to order the dropping of two atomic weapons on two civilian cities. IT was also Missouri that commissioned a bust of Rush Limbaugh and then tried to get the taxpayers of the state to pay for it. I really don’t think the good people of Missouri have changed all that much.
