Bob Schieffer’s Powder Puff Interview with Romney and Ryan

IT WASN’T SOFTBALL, it was powder puff.

Taxes came up, but no re-direct to Mitt Romney.

Bain was brought up, but Mitt Romney got to skip it.

The first questions going round and round about how Romney picked Ryan, the only phrase missing was “How did he pop the question?”

Mike Wallace has definitely left the “60 Minute” set.

And CBS News’ Bob Shieffer thoroughly disgraced himself.

But this was priceless…

Quick….Please remind us when Barack Obama has been asked a tough question in 4 years as President?? And don’t tell us Robin Roberts of ABC asking Barack & Michelle what they have for breakfast or Brian Williams asking Barack how many times he golfs per year qualify. Barack Obama has essentially skated by with nothing but adoration from a sychophant press (Remember JournOListas versus Gov Palin) for 4 years, and people have the audacity to whine about an interview by CBS of the new ticket. Good Grief!

Let me clarify: I’m referring to a tough question in a sit down interview with CBS, NBC, ABC, et al. Obviously,Obama has had tough questions shouted at him in Press Conferences. I’m talking about sit down interviews with all the Obama loving journalists like Brian Williams and just about everybody who works for CBS, NBC, ABC, NY Times, Wash Post, etc etc etc. I’ve NEVER EVER heard of one tough question asked of Obama in a sit down interview with any of these so-called “journalists”, and Liberals have the audicity to complain about the lack of tough questions asked of Romney. Where have you been the past 3 months or so – Everything asked of Romney by these Obama Loving reports has been about his tax returns, his dog on the car, etc etc etc.

I’m with Smooth Jazz. Were you similarly offended by Pete Rose’s softball interview with Obama a few weeks back? How about Robin Roberts’ interviews that are made of ice cream, they’re so soft? How about Obama’s not having faced his press corps for more than 7 weeks, essentially?

I wonder why 60 Minutes edited out the part where Ryan discusses the fact that his Mom in Florida is on Medicare?
    Hmmmmm…

I didn’t fin anything awkward about that tax shelter segment.
    I looked at it twice.
I think Romney admires the fact that Ryan is simple and succinct as he educates the voters.

And I agree with everything SmoothJ and Beth said.
