Newt Gingrich is delusional.
Hey, but it’s no crime, as long as he’s kept away from anything powerful in the U.S. government, which Rick Santorum can’t do, because he’s having trouble managing all the states. So, with today Super Tuesday and with 437 delegates at stake, according to Politico, though the Washington Post says it’s 419, Mitt Romney will do the job no one else can do, add yet another nail in Newt’s political pine box.
Dave Weigel provides the photo above, as he covers the GOP
circus primary race.
As for Newt’s fantasy of $2.50 gasoline, he obviously believes Republican primary voters are ignorant rubes.
As long-time readers know, my late brother-in-law, Steve Simon, was on the board and vice president at Exxon-Mobil. No slouch, he. Started at the very bottom and worked his way up. Suffice it to say that he would have laughed Gingrich off the stage & never would he have voted for anyone willing to pimp such misinformation.
Steve sent me info from the oil industry, as many of us devoured other facts; some for me came from Robert Redford’s group the Apollo Alliance, as well as Al Gore’s film, conference calls and other events. I met Redford before I moved to Washington, when traveling in for an event. We were both having a very bad hair day.
At the event, Redford said the “Al Gore film has ended the debate.” It hasn’t for the opportunistic.
Newt Gingrich is lying out loud.
Nobody cares, because you can be a liar and run for president, especially if you have no chance of getting the nomination. He’s just the latest liar and the only one to so cravenly posit $2.50/gallon gas.
