I could have told you without any REAL proof that Will Bowers was an opportunistic phony who was on Fox spreading all kinds of cacophony just to give his fellow PUMAs something to purr over. But I haven’t written about it until this morning, after reading this New York Times article:
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton
lent her campaign an additional $1 million at the end of June,
underscoring the difficulty she is having staying ahead of creditors
and retiring a mountain of campaign debt, filings with the Federal Election Commission show.Even though the fight for the Democratic nomination came to a close in
early June, with Senator Barack Obama emerging as the presumed nominee,
Mrs. Clinton’s debts to vendors increased to $12 million at the end of
the month from $10.4 million at the end of May. In addition, after her
latest loan on June 30, Mrs. Clinton has now lent her campaign a total
of $13.2 million
So, with that startling revelation and because PUMA was supposed to have raised so much money, I thought it right to go to the FEC.gov page and see if I could find any monetary donations by ANY of the PUMA big boys.
Much to my surprise (read: not surprised at all) none of the head honchos donated anything.
So, I suppose we will have to wait until next month to see if that 10 million really exists.
My predictions for this month:
Will Bowers(the spokesman) will continue drinking with Harriet
Diane Mantouvalos(the publicist) will continue to issue press releases that nobody but secretaries will read
Darragh Murphy(the “reformed” republican turned feminist) will continue to call me a piece of sh–. Heidi Li (the pocket book) will continue looking fabulous while doing A LOT of poetical waxing.
Waxing poetic about what? Well DUH! About all that they have managed to accomplish.
What are those accomplishments? A lot of Fox interviews.
But still- I am struck by their hypocrisy. Many of them boasted this “my vote is not for sale” defense when there were talks of Obama paying Clinton’s debt. Now that Senator Clinton is lending more money to herself PUMAs are touting the blatantly hypocritical comeback, “why isn’t he helping?”
Well, PUMA, maybe your letters ARE working. Maybe he now, because of you, knows that Clinton supporters don’t want his help. You can thank Will Bowers for that. He said that he had “it” (the bill), on Fox news, remember??
It’s a perfectly plausible theory. I mean, PUMA seems to think Obama KNOWS that they exist and that he is “afraid” of them. Maybe Obama, Axelrod, and Plouffe are reading your hate mail and once more, listening to the constituency of the so-called-lifelong-Democrats.
I got to thinking, why would they roll around on the floor, crying about Senator Clinton’s debt if none of these PUMA headers would be willing to fork over some dinero? Why would they go on television lambasting this dilapidated notion that everything they do, they do for Hillary when none of them are really doing anything to help her?
It sounds a lot more like they are USING her name to further their own twisted cause.
But hey, using logic makes you a hater!
So, I wanted to drop it, maybe not write about it, maybe just let it go. I didn’t want to rub salt in the wounds.
But then it dawned on me, most PUMAs DON’T use logic. Most PUMAs aren’t hurt that Clinton lost, and They ARE sending Clinton money. It’s just the kind of money that can only be used in PUMAland (happens to be the same place where PUMAfacts are taken seriously):
Update: Graphic via Democrats for McCain, with the following headline: “New Website DNC Monopoly – Show Your Independence From The DNC With This “Donation” You Can Send Online.”
Sorry PUMAs- this only buys power and “freedom” in YOUR world.
What can we expect from PUMAs next month Democrats? I predict lots and lots of this being sent:

In light of new evidence from Political Machine, I give you this from a Hillary campaign insider:
As far as we know, that $10 million is a fallacy. We have not seen that
money. It is our understanding that these groups provide links to our
website, and there is no way to track which sites those donations come
from. We have received no donations from the PAC.
