I’m off to Chicago and YearlyKos, much to Bill O’Reilly’s chagrin. I’m hoping
Fox has a camera crew there and they dare to confront little me. Wouldn’t that
be delicious?
Tonight I’ll be at Wrigley Field, compliments of my friend James Boyce, with whom I worked
over at the Patriot Project during the ’06 elections. I’m so looking forward
to the game. After all, we’re talking the Cubs and the Phillies.
The Chicago Cubs will try to jump into the National League Central lead … when they open a four-game series with the Philadelphia Phillies in a battle of streaking teams at Wrigley Field.
Like happens so often on the internets, you
sometimes never actually meet people with whom you work. After all this time,
James and I will finally meet in person. And at a baseball game! Nothing could
be finer.
So while I’m traveling today, please use Hot
Topics and let everyone know what’s going on. Put up videos and links of
important stories.
Via Benny in Hot Topics, we get Edwards’ response on the Saudi arms sale.
John Edwards is speaking out against a Bush administration plan to sell $20 billion’ worth of weapons to friendly Arab states, particularly Saudi Arabia.
He’s the first Democratic presidential candidate to take that stand.
Edwards says the arms sale amounts to a foreign policy of convenience. And he says he would take a tougher stance with the Saudis if he’s elected president. … ..
I’ll check in throughout the day. But off I go.
