Let's face it. The murderous thug should have been in custody or have been
killed a long time ago. Bush had him at Tora Bora but let him get away.
Now he's likely to go to his grave via illness or old age.
Oh, but at least we got Saddam; a man who never once threatened the United
States. George W. Bush proves his dyslexia with this commander in chief collapse.
To say he got his enemies wrong is an understatement. Now he and the Republicans
plan to torture the entire Islamic, Arab and Muslim world in order to purge
the shame of his presidency.
America will never be the same.
The latest rumors are running wild, but they won't change what all these years
on the loose has made a reality. Under the Republicans' lead, from the top on
down, Al Qaeda has won. If bin Laden is dead he went to his grave knowing that
not only did he best the Pet Goat presidency of George W. Bush, but he even
got the Republicans in charge to change this country forever. All for their
fear of a thug.
Fugitive Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, believed to be on the run in rugged
terrain in the Afghan-Pakistani border region since the September 11 attacks
five years ago, has become seriously ill and may have already died, a Saudi
source tells TIME, echoing earlier
reports in the French media.The source, speaking on condition of anonymity, says that Saudi officials
have received multiple credible reports over the last several weeks that Bin
Laden has been suffering from a water-borne illness. The source believes that
there is a \”high probability\” that Bin Laden has already died from
the disease, but stressed that Saudi officials have thus far received no concrete
evidence of Bin Laden's death.\”This is not a rumor,\” says the source. \”He is very ill. He
got a water-related sickness and it could be terminal. There are a lot of
serious facts about things that have actually happened. There is a lot to
it. But we don't have any concrete information to say that he is dead.\”

Republicans are so afraid of the terrorists that they'd rather legalize torture
and lose their souls, while selling Lady Liberty down the river, than stand
up and be willing to die for our democracy.
It's time for Republicans to face facts. You are cowards, or at least most
of you are. But anyone who props up the current leadership of this country most
certainly cares more for a political party than your country. Few of the current crop of chickenhawks served in the
military. These are the same people swiftboating veterans across this country,
which is why the Patriot Project
was created, while hiding behind front
groups financed by lead Republicans.
For the first time in American history there are around 50 Democratic veterans
running for Congress, with only 3 or so Republican veterans running. Yet the
likes of George Allen and Curt Weldon choose to swiftboat their veteran opponents, former Navy secretary under Reagan James Webb and Admiral Joe Sestak. In fact, not to put too fine a point on it, but Weldon even dodged the draft then lied about it, typical Republican.
We don't know if bin Laden is dead, but one thing is certain. George W. Bush
and the Republican leadership let him get away with murder. The man who attacked
this country directly was allowed to escape, hide out and perhaps die in relative
peace, while Saddam Hussein, who never once threatened this country, became
Bush's prime target. Even after the facts were out in the open, Republicans
continued to ignore Osama and allow his escape to be complete, while rubber stamping every single move the president has made, all the way down to legalizing torture. Even Senator John McCain sold out for ego's sake.
Where have all the heroes gone? They're running as Democrats in '06.
But is bin Laden actually dead? We don't know. However, something Peter Bergen said on CNN now rings very true to me. He stated recently that if we don't hear from bin Laden himself very soon then it's quite likely that something has happened to him. It's been weeks and nothing, so the reports, even though unconfirmed, seem more true than false, but we'll have to wait and see. It's something we've been doing since 9/11: waiting, while Bush and the Republicans pick other targets instead.
Did bin Laden get away with murder? Five years afterwards, with our military locked
down in Iraq, with torture now legalized under the Republicans, I'd say Osama
bin Laden got away with murder and a whole lot more. He even managed to change
the very nature of our country, and the Republicans helped him do it.
