President Bush, Indians and Jack Abramoff
Why is Scott McClellan still stonewalling?
We know from David Shuster and other sources that Grover Norquist
helped Jack Abramoff bring “at least two tribal chief clients into the
White House” to meet President Bush four years ago.
An email Shuster used today on “Hardball,” illustrated
correspondence from Nordquist to Abramoff on April 19, 2001, which stated the
tribal chiefs would attend a meeting with “The President and Congressional
leadership” on May 9, 2001.
Nordquist, in what we are supposed to believe is a coincidence,
denies that a $25,000 fee was not for the meeting he set up with Abramoff's
clients to meet with President Bush.
There is a connection that goes from Jack Abramoff to Grover Norquist
to Karl Rove, which ultimately leads to President Bush, which are the ties that bind Abramoff to the Bush-Cheney
machine.
That's why Scott McClellan is stonewalling. They don't want to
say the dreaded words: Karl Rove met with Jack Abramoff. Or maybe it's worse,
that President Bush met with Jack Abramoff when he brought his Indian tribal
chief clients into the White House on a deal that passed from Abramoff to Nordquist
to Rove, then right on up to the oval office.
All we need now is the art.
