NATIONAL JOURAL: Blunt Trailing Boehner

I realize this may be wishful thinking on my part. That said, if Republicans do elect Tom Delay Jr. Roy Blunt, it simply means business as usual, giving Democrats another corruption target in Mr. Blunt.
However, James A. Barnes and Peter Bell of the NJ have put together an “Insiders
Poll” on who should lead the Republicans. Insiders include Republicans
and Democrats, but I'm just offering up the Bushies in this post. All those
polled have “campaign experience, insider knowledge, and ties to voting
blocs,” according to Barnes and Bell. Right now, Boehner has 48% to Blunt's
34%, with 18% saying neither of these wingnuts should be the House majority leader.
If Blunt stays it means only one thing: Delay's power is locked in place and so
is the general K-Street Project attitude. Though Boehner has his own problems,
he's not near as bad as Blunt, who is a despicable hypocrite not worthy to even
grace the House floor, let alone be majority leader. Also keep in mind that the leadership vote is by secret ballot.
