Hillary Stands Up – Laura Snipes

Hillary Stands Up – Laura Snipes

\”I believe that it
is an accurate description
of the kind of top down way that the House
of Representatives is run, which denies meaningful debate; which has engaged
in all kinds of shenanigans, keeping votes open. Refusing to allow people
to have the opportunity to present alternatives. And I think some very bad
decisions are being made for America.\”
-
Senator Hillary Clinton

Good for Hillary.

Too many Democrats apologize when they shouldn't and don't when they should.

As Charlie Cook says, \”The fix is in\” at the House.

And here's a message to Chris Matthews, Hillary didn't \”get in trouble\”
for her comments. In fact, Matthews and others in the media are giving Hillary's
case a lift. After her vote on the Iraq war, she could only be helped by a
remark like this.

In addition, if you've never spoken in front of a group, it's also very possible
to get swept up in the moment and want common ground with your audience. However,
if anyone believes this was not a calculated choice of words they're just
being ignorant. That goes for Andrea Mitchell and Matthews today, who both
thought Hillary's \”pandering\” wasn't on purpose. Whoa, these two
are going to be so easy for Hillary to play.

There is absolutely no reason to apologize, regardless of the one cent remark
Mrs. Bush offered up.

\”I think it's ridiculous. It's a ridiculous
comment – that's what I think.\”
– Laura Bush

Newsflash to Mrs. Bush: no one cares.

The First Lady gets away with murder every time she opens her mouth, but
what a weapon. But in all seriousness, what does Mrs. Bush know about the inner
workings of the House of Representatives and the tactics of Tom Delay?

Hillary is in the senate. The First Lady is on clean up duty for W. Let's just leave it at that.
