SOMEBODY HAD to do it because there isn’t a Republican in Congress who will stand up to Trump’s nonchalance over Russia’s espionage and cyber terrorism.
"Today's actions by our allies clearly demonstrate that we all stand shoulder to shoulder in sending the strongest signal to the Kremlin that Russia cannot continue to flout international law and threaten our security." — PM @Theresa_May pic.twitter.com/bU8Rg3ORlo

Former Russian double-agent Sergei Skripal was poisoned in a chemical attack utilizing a banned substance only found in Russia. His daughter Yulia Skripal was visiting. Prime Minister May announced that as many as 130 people might have been exposed to novichok, which is the chemical used to try to murder the Skripals, who remain in critical condition for the foreseeable future.
In response, Prime Minister Theresa May assembled a coalition President Trump couldn’t stand against.
The Trump administration made no move after the double assassination using banned chemicals to come to England’s aid. No one can explain why.
What Ms. May isn’t doing — neither is the Trump administration — is to target Russian oligarchs, especially Putin’s strongest allies. This sends a different signal. One that is a direct hit at Putin and the mafia conglomerate he operates.
Now comes this BuzzFeed report… Some of you may follow John Sipher on Twitter.
The FBI possesses a secret report asserting that Vladimir Putin’s former media czar was beaten to death by hired thugs in Washington, DC — directly contradicting the US government’s official finding that Mikhail Lesin died by accident.
The report, according to four sources who have read all or parts of it, was written by the former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele, who also wrote the famous dossier alleging that Russia had been “cultivating, supporting and assisting” Donald Trump. The bureau received his report while it was helping the Washington, DC, Metropolitan Police Department investigate the Russian media baron’s death, the sources said.
… “It’s really hard to imagine that it was an innocent death,” said former CIA intelligence officer John Sipher, who worked for years on Russia matters. “Everybody I know who’s a professional and dealt with Russia — the immediate assumption is that he was murdered.”
“A Murder in Washington…” and someone is lying about what happened. Why?
Always questions when it comes to Trump and Russia.
One amazing remnant remains the lack of seriousness the President seems to be giving the Mueller investigation. Maybe Trump thinks if he pleads the Fifth Amendment against incrimination it will set him free.
After the massive weekend protests against gun violence and NRA money in politics, led by the next generation of American leaders, I’m not sure Donald Trump can alter what’s coming.
