White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Steve Bannon have mutually agreed today would be Steve’s last day. We are grateful for his service and wish him the best. – Statement from the Press Secretary
THE ABOVE POOL report on Steve Bannon’s firing was to the point.
Bannon’s The American Prospect interview seems to have been the final blow to Trump.
It’s a very good day in America.
Enjoy a win for the good guys serving the White House: John Kelly, H.R. McMaster, Secretary Mattis.
Trump could ignore everyone but the generals.
It’s ironic, and a bit uncomfortable to many in America to have the military saving us from the civilian who’s supposed to provide leadership.
Breitbart and the alt-right crew are going to go nuclear over this but they’re now isolated more than ever. The more isolated, the wider potential for Trump to become a vessel for moderating forces. It’s as likely that he will resign as anything, especially with Special Counsel Rober Mueller squeezing his son.
In all seriousness, Bannon walked out of WH and into his newsroom, presumably with some info in hand https://t.co/chqW9tXV2b
