Trump-Putin Connection: Blackwater’s Prince Secret Russian Meeting

The United Arab Emirates arranged a secret meeting in January between Blackwater founder Erik Prince and a Russian close to President Vladimir Putin as part of an apparent effort to establish a back-channel line of communication between Moscow and President-elect Donald Trump, according to U.S., European and Arab officials. WHAT BETTER distraction is there from the continuing unmasking of possible Trump-Putin connections than to bring up the Benghazi spinmeister, Susan Rice, who was national security adviser for President Obama?

The alt-right is going bonkers over the very mention of her name, which is by design.

How far afield can Trump manage a connection to Putin without being compromised? How about the Seychelles, clear across the world?

The White House is Ignorance Central on all things foreign policy. They’re experts at squealing “squirrel,” and finding just the right name to input to cause maximum chaos.

But to Erik Prince, who has now been exposed by the Washington Post.

U.S. officials said the FBI has been scrutinizing the Seychelles meeting as part of a broader probe of Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election and alleged contacts between associates of Putin and Trump. The FBI declined to comment.

The Seychelles encounter, which one official said spanned two days, adds to an expanding web of connections between Russia and Americans with ties to Trump — contacts that the White House has been reluctant to acknowledge or explain until they have been exposed by news organizations.

[…] Prince would probably have been seen as too controversial to serve in any official capacity in the Trump transition or administration. But his ties to Trump advisers, experience with clandestine work and relationship with the royal leaders of the Emirates — where he moved in 2010 amid mounting legal problems for his American business — would have positioned him as an ideal go-between.

Flynn and Kushner were joined by Bannon for a separate meeting with the crown prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, who made an undisclosed visit to New York later in December, according to the U.S., European and Arab officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive matters.

[…] Officials said Zayed and his brother, the UAE’s national security adviser, coordinated the Seychelles meeting with Russian government officials with the goal of establishing an unofficial back channel between Trump and Putin.

Wealthy oligarchs and Mr. Trump, and a possible “unofficial back channel between Trump and Putin.”

Russiagate is expanding every day.

Eli Lake of Bloomberg reported on “requests” from Susan Rice to unmask individuals in intelligence reports she was receiving. The issue is Lake’s conclusion that what Rice did was “highly unusual.”

It’s bullshit.

From Lake

The standard for senior officials to learn the names of U.S. persons incidentally collected is that it must have some foreign intelligence value, a standard that can apply to almost anything. This suggests Rice’s unmasking requests were likely within the law.

As part of her job as national security adviser, the intelligence reports can be vague because of privacy issues. However important the information being disseminated, if Rice, or any other NSA, wants to clarify what she’s reading to understand the implications of the intel reports, she would send a request to the intelligence individuals who provided the report.

It is the intelligence community who first created the report who decides if the unmasking will be done or not.

Of course, the Trump White House doesn’t do details and they’re allergic to the truth.

The only thing they want is chaos.

And to make sure Sean Hannity and State TV, aka Fox News Channel, has a distraction from the Trump-Putin-Russia revelations that include a private military security man, Erik Prince, and the secret meeting he had that was concocted to be a possible beginning of a back-channel between Trump and Putin.
