Zombie Industries Sells “Bleeding Obama” at NRA Convention

“Someone from the NRA came by and asked us to remove it” a Zombie Industries booth worker told BuzzFeed in hushed tones. “They thought it looked too much like President Obama.” When asked if the Obama likeness was intentional the worker said, “Let’s just say I gave my Republican father one for Christmas.” [Buzzfeed]

BUZZFEED has the full list of NRA targets, with “Rocky Zombie” from Zombie Industries not a subtle likeness to President Obama. When you shoot “Rocky Zombie,” he bleeds. Nothing quite depicts the NRA at its fundamental core like what’s being exhibited at the national convention.

The NRA banned the displaying of the “bleeding Obama” target by Zombie Industries, but you could still buy it. According to Buzzfeed, the Obama likeness has been on display for two days, but was notably absent on Sunday.

In case anyone doesn’t get the connection, the description has political inferences that make no mistake what’s going on.

The description of the product on the company website includes subtle references of a political nature:

“A fighter from Detroit, Rocky got his nickname because of the odd shape of his face after a few matches left him a bit rutted in the head… Be warned, Rocky is HIGHLY dangerous due to his quick wit and strength… he was last seen screaming something like, “Zombie Industries believes in America!” And that we do.”

Mitt Romney’s campaign slogan was during the 2012 election campaign was, “Believe In America.”

The NRA has no conscience, no soul.

If this isn’t enough, Zombie Industries also proudly sells “The Ex,” a woman zombie, with multiple hair color choices to match a man’s ex, that will also bleed when you shoot her.

Okay, that’s thoroughly disgusting and irresponsible. What is wrong with these people??? The Obama look-alike is absolutely bad and wrong but then an effigy to your ex-wife with matching hair color? Oh yeah, all in the name of FREEDOM.

Who in the hell do they think they’re kidding? You’re right, Taylor. This stuff is without soul or conscience. Good Christians all, I’m sure Haha. Only it’s not funny.

That is really twisted. That’s evil to do something like this. This is borderline hatred and crazy. Its shameful.

Thought I agree with you, I have a hard time with censorship in any form. In a perfect world, there would be no need for it. If people were enlightened, they’d know this and the ‘ex-girlfriend’ target mannequin far exceed bad taste.

But we don’t live in a perfect world and people, especially corporations, cannot be trusted to ‘do the right thing’. There’s only one place to hurt someone, especially a corporation and that’s in the pocket. We can never lose sight of the fact that consumers will always hold the most powerful tool – we buy things or we stage boycotts against them. I’d like to think even conservatives have a sense of right and wrong – they were asked to remove them. There will always be a few hillbilly wannabes who will buy them – but they are a severe minority. Anyone married man who purchases an ‘ex-girlfriend target mannequin’ will be in the dog house indefinitely unless he’s married to a Palin-tologist. And fortunately, they are a severe minority too. So keep up the faith. We’ll always have the upper hand when it comes to crap like this. :)

After Bush we needed a leader who would put these freaks back in their cages. Obama has failed on all counts. They see his weakness, they see his inability to confront, they see how he shies away from any fight. Like all animals who smell weakness they eventually move in for the kill. His second term is over, he may well be the longest lame duck in history. Maureen Dowd said it best in her column a few days ago, ” He does not know how to govern, he does not know how to lead. ” He will now pay a huge price, both professionally and emotionally. It will only get worse from here on in, they will drag him through the mud and humiliate him any way they can. This is the United States as it stands today. It is ironic that he never fails to laud Reagan, yet it was Reagan, without knowing it, who will destroy his presidency.

Fangio – After Bush we had a leader who didn’t lead like LBJ or Bush or any of the others who deemed DC “My way or the highway”. Obama has done what a President is SUPPOSED to do. When he hasn’t; (implemented ‘his way’ via Executive Order’) – the Reps scream from the top of their lungs. This man is damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. And this ‘leadership’ schtick is just that – it’s because they KNOW they don’t ‘have’ him on REAL issues so they fabricated this one.

His ‘inability to confront’ is seen as ‘refusal to dictate’ by the sane side of the world. Would some dems prefer he act like LBJ at times, you betcha. As with all aspects of life, one has to be able to pick their battles. He has picked some pretty fine ones without coming off like a dictator. Maybe you and others can’t see the forest through the trees because; although you claim we needed a ‘real’ leader after Dubya, conservatives wouldn’t & couldn’t recognize one with a magnifying glass and a flash light.

As for Ms. Dowd’s comments – perhaps she was sleeping through the past two Presidential elections and missed the overwhelming majority of people who voted for him. I am convinced had Romney / Ryan won the election, your parents (or grandparents) would be praying for welfare right now because social security and Medicare would be a fading memory. And Reagan … you can thank him for getting the ball rolling on the financial meltdown in 2008 which we still have not recovered from.

So before you’re so quick to pass judgement, perhaps you should look at the facts. None of the Presidents mentioned were GREAT Presidents, one never existed. But Obama certainly hasn’t done the damage GW & Reagan have done that we’re STILL paying for. Where were you and Ms. Dowd when Reagan TRIPLED the national debt GW doubled it? Did you say anything at the time … or, like so many other things, does it only bother you now that a half black man has done it too?

“After Bush we needed a leader who would put these freaks back in their cages. ”
I’m not sure which worries me more….the mentality that produces “Zombie” targets that bleed when shot… matter WHO they look like…..or the mentality that makes a statement like this. Which THEN launches into a screed supported by that sage of wisdom Maureen Dowd.

I don’t care where anyone stands on the political scale. This sort of sleezy, low-ball, rank display is just not acceptable.
