Queer Talk: “Say No to Gray Marriage” and Other Non-Traditional [VIDEOS]

For a bit of a break, and to mark the historic marriage equality week, and with a quick nod to the Easter Bunny showing up on the ubiquitous “red for love” equality symbol, a few videos. Some have been around for a year or so, but they’re still quite relevant. Humor is used with LGBT abandon. Oh, and there’s the occasional use of a “risqué” word or two. That’s all the warning you’re getting.

Say No to Gray Marriage.

‘Because same-sex relationships cannot naturally produce offspring, they do not implicate the State’s interest in responsible procreation and childrearing in the same way that opposite-sex relationships do.’ — actual thing that anti-gay marriage lawyers are arguing before the Supreme Court to defend Prop 8 and DOMA.

The Ultimate Anti-Gay Marriage Ad: “A couple confronts the horrific consequences of same-sex marriage.”

Stereotypes can work, and play, for all of us.

From Bitter Old Lady on “Same Sex Marriage”:

Gay Men Will Marry Your Girlfriends: “We support gay marriage. Here’s why you should too.” (For reasons I can’t figure out, this one won’t load, but click on the link and that will take you to the You Tube post.)

Gay Women Will Marry Your Boyfriends: “We also support gay marriage. Here’s why you should too.”

Finally, an actual interview with, apparently, no humor intended. The headline provided by the person who posted it (OnKneesforJesus4) clearly is meant to point out the absurdity, Gay Marriage Will Cause a War: “Interview with Mat Staver, dean of Liberty University’s School of Law.”

Loved the “Gay [Wo]Men Will Marry Your [Boy|Girl]friends” videos. They’re true on several levels.

They “hit” in so many ways, from the true to the myths, that they’re very funny.
