For years, America’s childhood obesity crisis was viewed as an insurmountable problem, one that was too complicated and too entrenched to ever really solve. According to the conventional wisdom, healthy food simply didn’t sell–the demand wasn’t there and higher profits were found elsewhere–so it just wasn’t worth the investment. But thanks to businesses across the country, today we are proving the conventional wisdom wrong. Every day, great American companies are achieving greater and greater success by creating and selling healthy products. In doing so, they are showing that what’s good for kids and good for family budgets can also be good for business. – Michelle Obama: The Business Case for Healthier Food Options [Wall Street Journal]

IF YOU want a longer and healthier life the best place to start is in your own kitchen.

It begins, not with a diet, but with a healthy lifestyle that includes food, exercise and living a life that supports living healthy.

Happy anniversary to Let’s Move!

Thanks to Mrs. Obama for all she and her team does to bring awareness to what’s killing us, which begins with our unhealthy lifestyles and the food we choose to eat.

michelle chose a great platform. the nation is obese. eating healthy isn’t hard, though eating unhealthy is so-so easy. i eat a good cereal, drink water, (mostly)cutout the cheese, eat chicken/fish with two vegetables for dinner. fruit between meals and 70% dark chocolate to satisfy the tooth. i do calistentics 3x a week. though i need to add cardio!!!
