The Daily Show: Investigative Journalism Alive Only on HBO’s “The Newsroom”

SPENDING THOUSANDS of dollars on fancy graphics and big salaries for infotainment hosts is what is replacing investigative journalism. “The Daily Show” takes aim at CNN.

Leave it to “The Daily Show” to be the only one reporting that investigative journalism is alive and well, but only on HBO’s “The Newsroom.”

Thank you Aaron Sorkin.

Priceless.

What’s worse is that it’s not just television news that has these priorities. Remember this story about the New York Times a few years ago? At the same time they were laying off staff, they were giving David Brooks a big new contract.
