Strauss-Kahn Settles with Housekeeper Who Brought Him Down

THE SEXUAL lothario who lost his IMF job along with a potential bid to be president of France, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, has settled the lawsuit brought against him by the hotel housekeeper, Nafissatou Diallo, who dared to speak out against him.

From CNN comes a report, which read in its entirety reveals a sexual thug and the low life character of Strauss-Kahn, proving money can’t buy you a soul:

In her lawsuit, Diallo said she was suing Strauss-Kahn to “vindicate her rights, to assert her dignity as a woman, to hold Dominique Strauss-Kahn accountable for the violent and deplorable acts he committed … to teach her young daughter that no man — regardless of how much money, power and influence he may have — should ever be allowed to violate her body, and to stand up for all women who have been raped … but are too afraid to speak out.”

Strauss-Kahn’s lawyers sought to have the lawsuit dismissed on the grounds that he carried diplomatic immunity, but a judge rejected the gambit in May.

The details of the settled suit are confidential, but the rumors swirling are jaw dropping. From Businessweek:

The French daily Le Monde, citing unidentified people close to the former IMF chief, reported on Nov. 30 that Strauss-Kahn might pay $6 million to settle the suit, borrowing $3 million from his wife, Anne Sinclair, and the rest from a bank. Strauss- Kahn and Sinclair, the editor of the French version of the Huffington Post, separated this year.

Strauss-Kahn’s lawyers denied the “fantastical and erroneous” information in Le Monde, and called the report “flatly false.” Diallo’s attorneys declined to comment on the newspaper’s story.

Following this story since it broke, one sadly pathetic character in the mix remained Anne Sinclair, Strauss-Kahn’s humiliated wife. That she finally got some sense and separated from her “husband” is important. Open marriages and arrangements aren’t anything new in the world. However, standing by a spouse who clearly has… hmmm… how to put this without getting myself into trouble… Let’s just call it sloppy impulse control, is another thing altogether.

Strauss-Kahn had also countersued the hotel housekeeper with whom he just settled, which is reportedly still pending. He alleged his career had been ruined by Diallo’s accusations. This would be laugh out loud ludicrous if it weren’t so thoroughly disgusting.

I think the whole world knew that this guy was a “sexual thug” when the stories continued to come out about his disgusting behavior. That this victim was able to bring suit and force him to settle is vindication for all those women who suffered at the hands of this thug.

I am sorry that Anne Sinclair felt that she had to close her eyes to her husband’s exploits. That she has finally woke up and left him gives her a chance at a new life. It, however, has cost her dearly.
