MEDIA RUMBLINGS continue over CNN’s diminished status, with Jeff Zucker’s arrival exploding expectations, especially in the a.m. hours where he’s been so successful. He created “The Today Show,” which has dominated the morning shows for well over a decade.

If there’s one face lift needed on CNN it’s in the morning. Their shows are unwatchable in the early hours, with Soledad O’Brien giving it a good go, but simply not succeeding.
That Burnett hasn’t been a great fit for evening is also another reality.
What’s particularly refreshing, though too bad for Soledad O’Brien, is that Ms. Burnett is seen as the primary anchor of a new possible morning show shift, with some unnamed male to be added later.
