ANYBODY WOULD be better than the prospects of Ken “kill the clinics” Cucinelli.

McAuliffe has a real passion for this and ran hard last time, but wasn’t received well.

Mark Warner hasn’t decided, but McAuliffe called him first before moving ahead.

From the Virginia-Pilot:

Terry McAuliffe’s head fakes about his widely presumed 2013 run for governor have come to an end.

The Northern Virginia businessman is now formalizing plans for his second gubernatorial bid and has begun the process of phoning key Democrats to inform them of his plans.

One who received a call today is Hampton Mayor Molly Ward.

A McAuliffe supporter, Ward said he contacted her to confirm his plans to run and advised her U.S. Sen. Mark Warner had “given him the green light” to proceed.
