Jon Stewart, and Stephen Colbert, Slap Mitt Romney Around

WHEN YOU become a punchline on late night the struggle to right your campaign gets tougher.

The truest words spoken came from Stewart, crowning his segment “Barack Obama is the luckiest dude on the planet.”

It segues perfectly into Matt Taibbi’s piece, This Presidential Race Should Never Have Been This Close.

The flop sweat from Sean Hannity on his radio show today could reach epic levels. He’s been close to that tipping point all week.

Looking at these clips of Romney…makes one wonder how in the world did GOP get stuck with this man. But then you see who his Republican competition was in the GOP primary and it all makes sense.

This election continues to be one long comedy show. The only reason Mitt Romney is even able to hold up barley in the polls is because of the religious right and neo-cons, without them he would be toast by now.

The saddest part is that Stewart is correct – Obama isn’t comfortably in front because he has done a good job as President. He hasn’t. He’s in front because the other party couldn’t come up with a viable candidate.
