“Game Change” and “Homeland” Take Emmys

“Wow, I feel so vindicated, because Sarah Palin gave me a big thumbs down!” – Julianne Moore

THE 2012 Emmy Awards were Sunday night and two political hits owned the night.

Showtime’s “Homeland,” which is a fave of mine, won several nods, including the two leading actors Claire Danes and Damian Lewis, who was amazing last year.

The other huge winner was HBO’s “Game Change,” which was equally deserving, though some conservatives still get their nerves tied in a knot about it.

The authors of “Game Change,” Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, were present for the festivities. Their book remains a sore point among many women who have read it who believe their treatment of the females in the story was very different from the way they chose to treat the biggest loser of all, John McCain.
