Gunfight at the GOP Corral

“… I have not been critical of Newt Gingrich but it is now time to take a stand before it is too late. If Gingrich is the nominee it will have an adverse impact on Republican candidates running for county, state, and federal offices. [...] Gingrich served as Speaker from 1995 to 1999 and had trouble within his own party. By 1997 a number of House Republican members wanted to throw him out as Speaker. … Gingrich had a new idea every minute and most of them were off the wall. – Bob Dole

It’s been a rough day for Newt Gingrich. Romney better have his crash helmet on tonight.

Romney has regained some strength, up 39-31 right now, though you can bet it’s fluid.

Tonight Romney needs to keep Gingrich from scoring easy shots without a return volley.

Bob Dole is one of those rare individuals who speak of themselves in the third person, but I respect anyway.

hah cnn spot checks mitt on an ad he is running claiming newt calls spainish “ghetto language.” and in the ad mitt says he approves of the message- all this after mitt stood there and said he never heard of the ad! and the audience go ballistic.

I am sorry, I am not agreeing with what some are saying about how Romney did well in tonights debate. He got his a** handed to him on the healthcare issue and Santorum gave it to him big time. Santorum is right, Romney gave Obama a great ad tonight on Romneycare, Mitt just defended it and was taken back about how much Rick Santorum knew about Romneycare. Newt Gingrich didn’t do great, but Romney didn’t do good either. And him talking about his trustees, made me feel like a fish out of water. How in the hell is this supposed to get blue collar workers to vote for you. Rick Santorum was the big winner. Romney has some major flaws and more was pointed out tonight.

I agree. Santorum is the on tongiht who kicked Mitt’s ass on hcr- the key thing here for the general with conservatives for some reason. None of these guys can grin though bc the damage done will lie on into the general
