Republicans lying again about healthcare reform

The most pointed lie from Republicans began with senator John Kyle when he said, “A large majority of the American people strongly oppose the Democrat’s massive bill, and Republicans will not abandon them”.

If Kyle and the Republicans really mean what they say about not abandoning the wishes of the majority of the American people they would pass a government run public option tomorrow. That is what the American people by large majorities have consistently said they wanted in poll after poll, something Republicans ignore and Democrats have been too weak and politically inept to hammer.

In talking to the hundreds of people I have talked to since last summer I would have to agree with Marc. I ran statistics on the need for a public option from the people I talked to and it was more than 76%. I have no idea where the Republicans get their information from.

    Out of their Axx’es’

Why would truth start concerning them now?

Besides that, their real job has been (s’cuse me POTUS Obama) do’in the ol’ rope a dope, bambboozle, etc.

    Hi Jane and all ;-)

  4. The RepubliKLAN Party also known as the GOPranos appears a group of social criminals who lie for profit. They tend not to care about the majority of people with the use of government to help people who need help. They continue their Hooverite disregard for people and they continue their McCarthyite dirty propaganda campaign on many issues from health care to national security.

If you want to destroy their power, then stop buying products from their major campaign contributors.

    See http://www.democratz.org

or wallow in your dislike of them but do nothing to strip them of their power.

democratz.org – I really don’t know what more I can do to reduce my purchases from these folks. I’ll be happy to follow your advice.

This isn’t about facts or information, JA, never has been on the right. See right-wing radio. It’s about emotion and validating how people FEEL about things.

Or to put it another way, it doesn’t matter if you’re husband is actually listening or hears you, as long as he says he is. Of course, in the end it does matter, but by the time the divorce is finally it’s too late.

  7. Jane Austen says:

See that’s what I don’t get. People like to be lied to? Does that make any sense? I guess I can’t see the forest for the trees because this just doesn’t make sense. Maybe I’ll just forget about all of this and go down to the basement and work on my dollhouse.

  8. Taylor Marsh says:

You’re thinking with your head. Politics is an emotional game.

  9. Jane Austen says:

I understand that which is why we end up in the mess we’re in. No one thinks about consequences. I guess I got to get out of the political racket. It’s not rational.

  10. Lake Lady says:

It is not rational in the u.s. we act like third world countries. I do think there are some countries in which politics is rational. Most of those countries are pretty homogenous. Is it easier to take care of our neighbors if our neighbors are just like us?It could be that we have gotten to a place where our greatest strength diversity, has become a weakness. We are dividing into tribes.Another gift from the right.

It used to work when we were proud of being a nation of immigrants. And it really was our strength. I mean, we won WWII because atomic scientists around the world wanted to work for the United States when the chips were down. And in the postwar period our huge gain in intellectual talent from around the world helped keep us the no. 1 economic power. The continued brain drain also helped build R&D at our corporations and first class universities, at least for awhile. That is what the Republicans are tearing up with their xenophobic immigration policies and “war on terror.” Of course these things are a gift to our economic competitors who are laughing their heads off. Good luck to us.
