Palin: Obama birth certificate ‘a fair question’

Speaking to the conservative talker Rusty Humphries today, Sarah Palin left the door open to speculation about President Obama’s birth certificate.

“Would you make the birth certificate an issue if you ran?” she was asked (around 9 minutes into the video above).

“I think the public rightfully is still making it an issue. I don’t have a problem with that. I don’t know if I would have to bother to make it an issue, because I think that members of the electorate still want answers,” she replied.

“Do you think it’s a fair question to be looking at?” Humphries persisted.

“I think it’s a fair question, just like I think past association and past voting records — all of that is fair game,” Palin said. “The McCain-Palin campaign didn’t do a good enough job in that area.”

McCain’s campaign counsel has said the campaign did look into the birth certificate question and, like every other serious examination, dismissed it.

Snip

Stop the presses, Palin has finally “gone birther.”

Palin loves it when ya’ll talk about her. It fills her pockets with the green stuff. Which, quite frankly, is all this woman is really all about and has been since she found her first penny at age 2. Suckers!!! :) Peace

Actually, there is no proof yet what Palin can or can’t be to Republicans, especially with Huckabee out.

  3. Lake Lady says:

I know she could nver win but the thought of her in the race gives me a chill. Taylor I know you think Mitt is a threat but with the mood of the GOP base…I don’t know but I think it could get really ugly. She has already proven that she is more than happy to ignite the flames of hatred.

I hate to repeat my same message so often – but as I have said since about 2 months after her VP nomination:
    Let her talk.
    Please!
Just let her talk. Ask her about every item in the news, please. Then ask her about the Rapture. Then the Flintstones cartoon (based on reality, of course). Then ask her about the future of Israel.
    Just let her talk. *L*

  5. Lake Lady says:

I tend to agree with you pmichael but she can trigger some ugly stuff from her fan base I think.

LakeLady, I hope I’m not sounding too ‘old’ here – but the pendulum of life can be truly amazing. Think about how far it swung the day we elected a Black president (with the name Hussein??). As I feared, the opposite swing was bound to also happen. No one wants to hear such references as “KKK” – but the concepts are all too familiar. (as Jon Stewart said, they’re just trying to find synonyms for that ‘N’ word) “Ugly stuff” from such as Glenn Beck, Hannity, and Sarah Palin have now been given ‘permission’ to raise their messages of hate and intolerance again.
Pendulum swings like a pendulum do __

pmichael, we are in COMPLETE agreement on this one! I say pray for a Palin/Beck ticket. Hey repugs, quite screwing around and send up some true shit house rat crazy lunatics like these two to represent you. Let America vote on what your party REALLY represents at this point in time!!
You saw the booming ticket sales for Blechs movie? Anybody remember when the fat, sweaty, drug addict limpwithnoballs had a TV show? Did GREAT didn’t it.
These people are the shithouserat crazy 16% that still thinks Bush did a GREAT job.
    PLEASE nominate her, PLEASE!!

  8. secularhumanizinevoluter says:

Should be 26%. Wouldn’t want to cheat the lil lunatics.

In conclusion, it seems to me that big ol’ Pendulum was settled into a fairly calm swing a while back. Then 9/11 kicked it in the ass and all Hell broke loose again. For most of us, before 9/11 the biggest point of concern in the headlines was a blowjob in the oval office (though I guess the vote count in Florida was a booger too). But after 9/11, Macho Dubya and his giggling friends were apparently let loose to wreck havoc (when it happened, he was reading a book with the kiddies) – and the pendulum went to extremes again.

Ahhh yeah. The good old days, when Lewinsky was a verb and not a proper noun!
Ya know, the repugs were right! The Prez gettin a BJ was FAR worse then lieing us into a war and instituting torture as official state policy!
