HA! I just put up a post on Tiger. It’s Friday, so I couldn’t resist.

As for doing liberalism badly, I put this one up @ HuffPost earlier today:

    Comments, tweets & diggs appreciated!

Next time she should use a driver :-)

  3. Taylor Marsh says:

Well, if we’re actually going to talk clubs, I think she chose well. Wedges are shorter, easier to manage, especially for non-golfers, so easier to wield a real wallop, which the pictures @ the link prove. Mrs. Woods was one righteously pissed off lady.

  4. kris says:

I must defer to your knowledge of golf clubs. I’m not a golfer, I put well but my driving ability is ridiculously awful.

  5. Imhotep says:

The only thing that Obama has not “outsourced” to the Congress has been his ’surge’ into Afghanistan. He has tripled the number of troops in that country since January. But let’s talk about Bill Clinton and NAFTA for a moment shall we? We all know that Bill Clinton got NAFTA passed through the Congress after its author Geogre H.W. Bush failed to get it done. NAFTA was a laissez faire Republican economic idea that the not so Progressive Clinton (and his wife is even less Progressive) embarced as his own. NAFTA was a mistake. Since it became law in 1994 the manufacturing sector in the USA has all but gone overseas. From 1992 until 2000, when Baby busy took over and really pushed NAFTA into high gear wages increased about 5.5% from 1975 to 2000. During that same 25 year period productivity averaged about 1.6% a year. Then came bush and NAFTA. From 2002 through 2007 wages in the US dropped by .4% and productivity climbed to 2.2% per year (when productivity increases so does unemployment). NAFTA destroyed the wage rate, drove up unemployment and brought the savings rate to 0% (2008). Didn’t Obama say that he would get rid of NAFTA duing his campaign? Obama is no more a Progressive or a Liberal than are the Clinton’s. They are all wholly owned corporate politicians with no fixed ideology one way or the other. A pox on all of them. Peace

    Alright, back to serious issues.

I am listening to the President speak in Allentown, PA. I only have one question….what universe is he living in?

  7. Taylor Marsh says:

As long as Obama has Geithner and Summers on board it’s really hard to take his economic patter seriously.

  8. Tom Harkin for President in 2016. No more charismatic center right Democrats for President for me.

Join the Liberal Democratic Party of the United States

“Join the Liberal Democratic Party of the United States”

Sounds exactly like the Rightwing’s 10 point litmus test. Either one means sudden death for that side with today’s politics. 3rd Party is not a solution – it’s a surrender. That’s actually one of the foundational problems today.
Split Off ? = Shoot Yourself In the Foot

  10. pmichael says:

democratz – if you really want to see the ‘Left’ in power, you should be campaigning for a new Rightwing ‘Church’ Party (with Palin at the head *L*).

  11. pmichael, apparently you did not read the web page. Before you shoot your mouth off how about reading the web page? I’m not leaving the Democratic party nor do I encourage anyone to leave the party.

    Read the web page.

Have you ever considered punishing the companies that give money to conservatives in both parties? have you?

  12. pmichael says:

I don’t have time to read it, democratz. Sorry. I merely made a comment about 3rd partys and what your comment reminded me of (“sounds like”.
Do you always attack people who simply give their take?

  13. pmichael says:

Seriously, democratz, I’m sorry if I bruised your ego by not rushing off to you dot-org, but at the moment I have four screens in front of me (WinXP, Vista laptop, Windows7[this one], and a CRT with “The View” on it *L* [Huckbee just claimed he was “the only” Republican to come on the show ;-) . I’ve actually been to your site before and complimented it in this forum.
    Back to work _

  14. Lake Lady says:

Couldn’t agree with you more Taylor and add in Bernanke. If he cares about this country and getting into a sustainable place, for all of the people, he needs to clean house of his current economic advisors. He needs to buck up and get some people like Elizabeth Warren who will start talking turkey to him.

  15. kris says:

    GOOD NEWS —-

The President is giving yet another speech next Tuesday on JOBS. If it’s anything like the one in Allentown today he should just stay home.

  16. pmichael says:

kris – perhaps it’s just me, but I think we finally have a president that knows the actual value of that thing called “public attitude”. In short – no one buys a house if they’re ’scared’. Just a few months ago the big ‘attitude change’ we were shooting for was going to be IF the DOW would just go back to 10,000. Was that really all that much better than 9,900 ? The answer is – yes, it does make a difference. ‘Attitude’ is one of the primary things a president can really have an effect on – and its importance, perhaps, cannot be overstated. I think this president understands that while the country has become used to a rightwing that didn’t give a shit (see Cheney’s “So? Who cares?”)
Obama understands this – and also understands “leadership”. I hope he never stops talking.

  17. secularhumanizinevoluter says:

FDR couldn’t actually do SHIT about the depression and unemployment.
But he could cheerlead until we geared up to be the arsenal of Democracy and the Japanese did their first Kamakazi in Pearl Harbor.
Then the economy took off and there was work for EVERYBODY. That and that lil ol draft thingy, iffin yer in da Army yer employed ain’ycha!
What the hell do you think caused Ronald Reagen to be remembered as such a GREAT President by the wingnuts? I mean other then starting the outright looting of the public treasury,He could act like everything was OK and the public was lulled into complacency.
