I don’t have much respect for Richard Wolffe and I wonder how he manages to be both a lobbiest and a journalist but I do think he probably does have an inside track to the WH.I think he is Axelrod’s favorite hack. So take this with a grain of salt. However…
It would be great if the President can make progress on climate change and Iran’s nuclear build up with his ability to find understandings with important leaders in China and India and Russia. This might be where his internationalism pays dividends.
I heard on Charlie Rose that he and the leader of India had a conversation about the historic figures who made their own paths possible. Gandi and King. I would love to think that Obama reflects on the teachings of both men.

This sounds hopeful. Maybe he’s finally learned that he can’t get anything done if the repugnantklan is involved. To bad for healthcare reform but better late then never.
This is an exercise in futility. Obama could propably get a climate bill through Congress with 60 vote. (Which he should. A strong bill with teeth. And soon.) But, he doesn’t stand a snowballs chance in hell of getting the 67 votes required to ratify a Global Climate Treaty. Not with 40 Republican Senators. Obama should, however, begin to check his wife’s wardrobe out. It was bad enough when Michelle was running around last spring wearing her $540 dollar French Lanvin sneakers to soup kitchens to feed the poor. But, that gold strapless number that she wore to the state dinner can not be explained away so easily. It took 40 people three weeks to assemble that over-the-top and indecently decadant garment. How much did it cost, you might ask? And who paid for it? The answer to those questions must be a closely held state secret because that information can not be found anywhere. George W. Obama and his Queen Michelle have become a bitter disappointment to all those who voted for “change we can believe in.” Peace
Of fer Jeebus Crispies fu*kin sakes. You are actually bitchen about M. Obama’s DRESSES!!!!? Seriously, do you walk around in sack cloth with a hairshirt underneath? Hey, you have a fu*kin computer, why haven’t you sold it and given the money to the poor? Just go somewhere and quietly fu*k yourself will you? If you ever aquire a passing awarness ot reality or the reality based universe drop in and let us know huh?
imhotep
I left you a “lobbyist” update on the last thread.
Well, if the sewers of the dress made the average salary in India – where the dress was made – it would equate to 4,012.00. I’m quite certain the Obama’s could afford that.
The irony of the world is that I of all people am coming to the Obamas defence but this individual sounds/reads like he/she/it’s a writer for Blech, Handjobity, Limpwithnoballs or O Liely.
At this point in time the Obamas as well as being the President and First Lady of The United States of America are rich. What, they should emulate Nixion in the checkers speach and say Mrs. Obama has a good reougnantklan cloth coat? Gimme a break from this one trick pony.
repugnantklan
Wonder what would have been said about Nancy Reagan’s haute couture gowns?
I remember folks discussing alot of things about the Reagens but Nancy’s dresses isn’t one of them.
Ah, but Jackie’s clothing – that was sure in the news. I’ll never forget her smile and voice when she did the first televised Whitehouse tour. Seems like regardless of political affiliation, everyone liked Jackie.
What? No comment, Sec ??
Surely, You’re not going to claim you “don’t remember” Jackie. Hmm?
I remember Jackie’s clothing being discussed only in the context of what a snazy dresser she was. No dimbulbs were blubbering about how much her cloths cost or how long it took, the number of PAID hours by the way it took to make her dress.
