Please make these phone calls and then send this by email to 2 friends or acquaintances. After you make these calls comment here that you have made the calls.

Have the normal ways of fighting the conservative opposition failed? I have a new way of destroying the conservative opposition to progressive legislation. Yes, destroying their opposition. Join our new political party where we have more guts than the regular Democrats. We’re Democratz!

Make these phone calls and spread the word.

Boycott Tyson Foods of Arkansas who gave Mike Ross D-Ark. $37,000 for his campaigns. Call lobbyist for Tyson Foods Chuck Penry 202 393 3921 and tell him politely that you refuse to buy Tyson chicken until Mike Ross D-Arkansas the leader of the Blue Dogs on health care gets the entire house and senate
conservative Democrats to help get HR 676 enacted into law or make HR676 the public option and also remove the Stupak antiabortion amendment

Boycott American Express who gave Max Baucus $50,000 for his campaigns. Call Joanna Lambert at 212 640 9668 and politely tell her you will not use any American Express cards until Max Baucus gets the entire house and senate
conservative Democrats to help get HR 676 enacted into law or make HR676 the public option and also remove the Stupak antiabortion amendment

Call GOP contributor Rite Aid Pharmacies at 800 325 3737 and tell the person to get the CEO to get congress to enact HR 676 or HR676 as the public option
and enact a new Medicare Prescription
drug benefit in Medicare Part B covering 80% of the cost of drugs with no extra premiums, no extra deductibles, no means
tests, no coverage gaps, and remove the means test for Medicare Part B and until that happens, you won’t buy ANYTHING from Rite Aid Pharmacies.

In 2008 Brown-Forman, the maker of Jack Daniels Whiskey and Southern Comfort gave Mitch McConnell money for his campaigns.

CALL Brown-Forman AT 502-585-1100 and tell the person who answers to get the CEO to GET Mitch McConnell to execute no
Republican filibusters and enact the Employee free choice act into law or you don’t buy Jack Daniel’s whiskey and Southern Comfort anymore!

Call GOP contributor Wendy’s restaurants at 800 443 7266 and tell the person who answers that you want their CEO to get
congress to enact a $10/HR MIN. WAGE into law and until this happens you will not go to a Wendy’s Restaurant.

Call GOP contributor and war contractor General Electric Corporation at 800 386 1215 or 203 373 2211 and tell the
person who answers, to tell the GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt that you want him to get the President to end the war in Iraq
and Afghanistan and until that happens you will not buy any GE products and that you will tell your friends about this.

The Liberal Democratic Party of the United States functions as a progressive legislative political party.

  1. Taylor Marsh says:

Right now focus is on Senate and getting everyone to sign on to the letter saying they will not support Stupak language in the final bill.

    It’s all hands on deck.

  2. I also suggest Catholics contact the Council of Catholic Bishops and tell them you will stop tithing until the Stupak language gets stripped from the bills and then tell fellow catholics and protestants who support women’s choice to stop tithing.

  3. Taylor Marsh says:

Now *that’s* a winner. Great suggestion.

  4. Well, that appears just something that Gandhi, Cesar Chavez, Mandela and Martin Luther King would do to peacefully change America for the better.

Now you see my heroes names. Spread the word about both efforts please.

  5. Honestly I do not see much difference between withholding of tithes to an organization that supports conservatives in congress and the withholding of purchases from companies that do worse in the form of funding such conservatives in congress.

I passionately believe we need to selectively boycott the contributors that give money to conservatives and demand they get us the legislation they help to block and to block legislation that they want to enact.

I did not originate this notion but I adapted the peaceful resistance of Gandhi, Chavez, Mandela, and King to the legislative process.

    I owe them a debt.

  6. Taylor Marsh says:

I think it’s safe to say that everyone around here appreciates all you do.

  7. It doesn’t matter if people here appreciate me. It matters if people here and the people they tell about these phone calls appreciate

the retired and disabled people who have to suffer with having to pay 2 sets of monthly premiums and 2 sets of yearly deductibles to get one prescription drug benefit that enriches drug and insurance companies and have to endure a huge coverage gap where they still pay monthly premiums and get nothing back

and appreciate the people who have to go to the emergency room because of the conservatives “let them eat cake” attitude towards the less fortunate in this country who don’t have health insurance

and appreciate those people who have insurance but still have to pay outrageous copays and deductibles such that they have to go bankrupt or sell their home, like my friend did in 2007 when he got cancer and eventually died in 2008.

and appreciate those poor women who will have to arrange to abort a child not by going to a doctor but somehow she will have to do something on her own and risk bleeding to death.

Do it for THEM not me. Call those companies and sign those petitions for THEM, not me.

  8. Imhotep says:

Might I suggest that the anti-abortion or anti-choice people have an intellectually dishonest argument which is pure sophistry when it comes to the public funding of abortion? They claim that it is morally reprehensible for them to be forced to give their tax dollars to the government to facilitate someone’s abortion. Hence the Hyde Amendment. Would their argument hold if we (the group) found it morally reprehensible to give our tax dollars to the military to fight the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? What’s good for the goose should be good for the gander. Else hypocrisy rules in this here republic. Peace
