Begala nails Joe. I hope a full court press is aimed at him in CT exposing him for what he is…a tool.I read somehwere that this probably indicated that he plans to retire at the end of his term. I am sure there are cushy jobs and board memberships awaiting him when he does.Seems the holier than thou observant Jew only cares for himself.

Please no one think I was disbaraging observant Jews, only ones who use it as a head fake much like our pious Christians who do not believe in evolution but subcribe to social darwinism.

I am fed up with him too. I waiting for James Carville to lay into him. (I never hear or see of Richardson that I don’t think of “Judas”).

Here’s confirmation of blue dog cover:

Sen. Mark Pryor told reporters Wednesday morning that is not “philosophically opposed to a public option.”

In a conference call, Pryor said he waiting to see the full text of Sen. Harry Reid’s bill. Pryor said he is inclined to get the bill to the floor, but says he will wait before making a decision on a vote.

“I like the opt out provision. Because I think it’s important for a state like Arkansas that if the legislature decides we don’t need a public option in our market place, they should be able to opt out of that. I think what it does is gives the state a degree of state control.”

    No worries.

THANK YOU, Lake Lady, for your identification of “our pious Christians who do not believe in evolution but subcribe to social darwinism.” This probably isn’t the place for my ranting about how ‘Hebrew Mythology’ is destroying 1/2 the planet – but your comment DOES bring to mind a recent group conversation about social darwinism. Amazingly – about ten people came to agreement there really wasn’t a lot wrong with social darwinism – provided you get rid of one component – that being a thing called “inheritance”. Everyone agreed individuals should have the right to get rich if they’re lucky and capable – but simply handing those riches to children who did NOTHING to earn it? – has created some of the biggest bastards on the face of the earth. “Unearned riches” create most of the problems. It gives people power that have no idea how to handle it.

  6. Go to http://bit.ly/public_option and email your representative and senators that you demand a strong public option.

It might could be that Netanyahu has called in his chips from his long time pal Joe. Perhaps Lieberman is trying to trade his “Yes” vote on Obama’s health care legislation for Obama taking his foot off Israel’s neck. More specifically the neck of Netanyahu who is being beaten up badly by Tzipi Livni on the I/P issue. Me thinks that the millions that Joe receives from the insurance industry is just a MSM red herring. Peace

pmichael..social darwinism only goes so far. Having spent 32 years as a special educator I am a strong believer that a good society takes care of the least among them. That ethic is breaking down in this country with the speed of light.

I had the same thought about Lieberman. I just called it “extortion” though and if this is the case, then I’m going to CT to campaign with anyone who will oppose him. This guy makes my skin crawl.

  10. pmichael says:

Lake Lady, 100% agree. But with the so-called ‘Jesus Followers’ leading the charge against taking care of the “least” amongst us?

Perhaps Lieberman is trying to trade his “Yes” vote on Obama’s health care legislation for Obama taking his foot off Israel’s neck.

Obama wimped on the settlement issue, and is striving to to bury the Goldstone report. It is Israel that has THEIR foot on Obama’s neck, not the other way around.

  12. Miscreant says:

What did you people think Lieberman was going to do??? This whole “tone” of anger and disappointment is somewhat inexplicable.

Did you really think he was going to grow red white and blue balls and get a donkey tattooed on his ass? The guy hasn’t been a “Democrat” for years, no matter what he likes to call himself.

This is no suprise. And if you are suprised, you need to take shorter naps. Five years is too long to spend to spend on the nod.

  13. pmichael says:

    Miscreant,
One man’s “wimped” is another man’s “cunning”. Time will tell.

I can’t imagine why you thought Lieberman’s behavior was surprising. Most of us thought he’d do what he’d did. No balls and no real ASS.

The only miserable thing I have to say now is that Gore created his drama.

“One man’s “wimped” is another man’s “cunning”. Time will tell”

You gotta be kidding me. Not only has Israel thumbed its noise at Obama, it has actually ACCELERATED construction in the settlements, and continues demolition of Palestinian homes.

Remember, this isn’t about political door prizes and brownie points. This is about Palestinians losing their land and their homes. It is not “cunning” to allow this to go on without protest or strong censure. Obama is now doing neither.

To advance the premise that Obama is being “cunning” is ridiculous on its face. He backed down, in no small part because of the undermining efforts of Reid, Hoyer, Cantor, and Huckabee. And what the hell is “cunning”, or moral, about seeking to bury a report that describes egregious and horrendous war crimes?? Aren’t you ashamed of the fact that we are trying to help Israel escape accountability for dumping white phosphorous on Palestinian women and children?

“I can’t imagine why you thought Lieberman’s behavior was surprising”

Funny, I don’r remember you as being dyslexic or senile. Perhaps you misplaced your reading glasses?
