the big hcare story today is reid’s failure to pass the 10yr medicare dr pay fix. this would have improved dr payments from medicare-a long time problem as more drs leave medicare over the issue.

read these huffpo quotes from these “mod” senators. i mean really now. does reid know what he is doing? reid got 47 votes to pass this and still brought it to the floor. its clear he didnt count the votes prior. why? cuz we need a new maj leader. In fact I wonder-if reid cant get this hcare moved soon with the votes if he needs to be pushed out. I know it wont happen but still. even if this thing gets watered down more Im wondering if it can pass the sneate with reid who clealry is failing as leader. some senatros are determined to vote against this and seem to have new excuses daily.

note not all these sens who screwed reid yesterday were conservadems. wyden voted no. hmm-could wyden be oh pissed for being so mistreated by leadership? he voted that way to show them u cant count on me if u wont bother to open the exchange to most americans. so how does this pass then? I dont have a good feeling here.

i called sen wyden’s office. i know some key folks there. he voted against the fix bc leadership isnt considering real reform by allowing us all to have a choice between a pub and priv plan.

FDL Action is launching a huge phone operation against Reid today in Nevada:

The NY Times has Wyden’s reason, but note that Russ Feingold also voted against it.

Mr. Wyden said, “On the eve of a historic debate on health care, it’s essential to show a commitment to real reform,” which includes fiscal responsibility.

i saw that. forgot to mention feingold. key blue dogs liek rep cooper are btw siding with wyden to open the exch to all. yes i know. cooper. ross. u gotta wonder-isnt there room here for a deal? reid f-cked up. glad fdl is doing phone bank today. i cannot stand the man. it seems only pelosi can count and whip her folks for real change we voted for. i really question reid here- we are running out of time -almost nov now. if reid cant pass pay fix and not even get libs like feingold and wyden then how is he going to get those 60 votes for hcare?

  5. Taylor Marsh says:

hey, you’re right on Reid. There’s been a lot of talk about how hard to hit him in the middle of this battle. Again, this all gets down to Obama. He could get whatever he wanted and also aid Reid if he’d back him openly.

  6. texan4hillary says:

sen libs need to form bloc like in house for po etc.. its all on us progs to do this. and if we do why should we progs worry about obama? he doesnt care about us or the needs of so many.

  7. Imhotep says:

Reid knows exactly what he’s doing. 47 Democrats voted to add $300 billion dollars to the deficit? That’s insanity. A health care bill will pass with a public option. Of that there is no doubt. Obama is also going to order more troops into Afghanistan. At that point the Left is going to take him apart board by board. The marijuana stuff and health care and the rest of this nickle and dime crap is happening to try and shut the Left up when he orders more troops to Afghanistan instead of shutting the war down. Note to Obama: All of these tricks ain’t gonna work young sir. Not with the Left. Who have always been smarter than most fifth graders and every stinking warmongering Republican and Democrat. Peace

you’re right on there texan4hillary, the Democratic party doesn’t have a leader currently and needs to get one but quick.

    Brava Imhotep!

Specter – on Ed – says there are 60 votes in the Senate – without Snowe. He says he intends to vote for a “robust public option.” Doesn’t think the “opt out” is necessary.
