Paid for by Donald Trump? Are they a prerequisite to being eligible to even complete or just something as inconsequential as the “right shade of make-up”?
There’s plenty to be outraged about: the parading of nearly naked woman in pageants as as if that’s the pinnacle of what being a woman is all about. But why trash Olberman? How about the exploitation of the pageant industry that starts them off as pre-adolescents and grooms them up the ladder?
That’s what outrages me…. not Olberman’s exposing this woman’s and Donald Trumps hypocrisy.
Women are fine as they are (or at lest they used to be) they don’t need “augmentation”. The fact that Mother’s are giving implants to their daughters as High School graduation presents is the real area of concern. IMO.
Yes there are vastly more important issues to discuss… but guess what discussion what just sparked?

Aw, poor Keith. LEAVE KEITH OLBERMANN ALOOOOOOOOOONE!
Now I’ve heard (read) everything.
I’m a feminist. As such, it’s absolutely none of my business what a women chooses to do with her body.

Are you saying that feminists should approve of the “ideal pinup (oops, woman)” propagated by the pornography and media/advertising businesses that helps create anoxeria, bulimia, self-hatred, and sexual objectification just because “it’s her own business?”
It’s nobody’s business what a woman decides to do with her own body. That’s feminism 101.
As for “anorexia, bulimia, self-hatred, and sexual objectification,” in what way does Keith Olbermann’s obsessive monologue attacking Prejean help this dialogue?
Boy, I’m staying out of this one. LOL
OT, And GeoT, from last night, Don’t count the Nuggets out yet. Bring on the Lakers.
It’s going to come down to defense and Lakers don’t have defense. If they can contain Kobe it’s all over. We have Melo, the best pure scorer in the NBA.

It highlights the fact that wowan have had it pounded into their psyches from early childhood that they are not good enough “as is” Men get messages that are just as damaging.
This isn’t about feminism or “hands off” what women want to do with their bodies…
and BTW Taylor, bash Olberman all you want, you’ve never been shy about that in all the time I’ve been reading your posts. That doesn’t bother me in the least. What bothers me is a “manufactured” beauty being hoisted as a role model… for ANY reason.
Teenage girls get (want) implants most often because they feel inadequate… why in the world would they feel that way? That’s not really about choice, that’s about indoctrination.

you mean
“hilarious”
and don’t tell me you don’t relish going after him… be honest.
Actually, it’s tiresome to see a professional man whom I used to respect and have watched and enjoyed since I was covering the Lewinski scandal reduce himself to cheap shots at women, punching below his grade.
I still watch his show, but only via tape so I can fast forward through the drivel, which reduces the actually time spent watching his show to single digits.

soon you’ll skip Olberman and just watch the commercials.
My last comment is it was in a new segment debuted last night called “Countdown’s WTF Moment.” if that makes any difference, which I already know the answer to.
if that makes any difference
I used to be a regular viewer of Countdown and a fan of Keith Olbermann. But, as I have said many times (maybe too many times?), his attacks on Hillary during the primaries last year turned me completely off to Mr. Olbermann.
I can no longer stomach him or his show.
I’m with you on this one GeoT. I stopped watching the pageants, after seeing a documentary on the extraordinary lengths the mothers of little girls went to make their daughters look like grown women. It was a real shame.
knew this one was coming.
Miss California to guest host Fox and Friends on May 27th. Sigh…
