I thought this might happen. It’s too bad, but was really a case of poor judgment.

Horrific judgment.
From what I have read about this the FAA asked local authorities NOT to publisize about the upcoming flybys(BEAUTIFUL pictures of AF1 by the by)so why is THIS guy resigning?
Thrown under the bus secular, under the bus.
Thanks for the thread last night GeoT. Wasn’t around but saw it this a.m. I had a little too much Margaritaville last night
Going to be busy today but will try to check in later.

That’s true. I don’t see what the big deal would have been making it public so people would know and not run for cover. In any case, someone should have thought of the consequences seeing it was in Manhattan. That was just a given. Pictures are beautiful.
I know this is really far off base but then again maybe not. There is certainly no lack of crazy people in NYC, so did anybody think maybe they didn’t let people know for fear someone out there would have an RPG or something like that and try and shoot it down. Just wondering, LOL.
Leave it to me to think of something like that right? You know conspiracy theory.

You know what, Betsy? I just remembered that part of the flyover was a training mission, too, so maybe that is the reason the FAA wouln’t allow it to become public knowledge. I don’t know.
I can’t remember, just now, where I read the training mission part but I did read it somewhere.
