Well, Dick Armey sure went out of his way to prove his central point, politics as he represents it is “juvenile.”

While telling Mr. Armey he was delusional to think he’d have a chance with her. It was at this point my colleague, Joan Walsh, who was debating Dick, leaned slightly over and in one graceful swoop, she took her shoe off and wrapped the gas bag of a man sitting before her over the head. Her shoe was back on her foot before Dick knew what hit him.

….well, it didn’t exactly happen like that, but metaphorically, that’s exactly what happened.
Meanwhile, Chris Matthews did nothing but mumble under his breath about, I don’t know, but “prattle” had something to do with it. It was the weakest performance by a host on a major political broadcast. Joan can handle herself, believe me, but “Hardball” is his show and he should have the spine to expect better discourse from his guests.
But as Dick sputtered and spewed, Joan took out our best hits. You know, policy and social justice combined, with an emphasis on jobs. You know, jobs? That was just for starters.
Now Rush has a bookend. Call it “the newest faces” of the Republican Party. Rush and Dick.
Bob Herbert is wrong.
Joan should apologize to Dick. She gutted him.
I saw that Ms. M. and you nailed it. Joan was terrific. Armey is a….a…..a….dick.
Matthews was beyond spineless. Wimp, too scared to set a Repub straight. And he wants to run for office? Pa-leeeeeeze!
None of this surprises me, coming from the anti-Hillary – sexist network, especially Chris Mathews’s response. I wouldn’t have been as high minded as Joan. My response would have been “I, for one, am glad I am not your wife either. My standards are a little bit higher than marrying a college woman chasing sexual harrasser.” Period. ( Years ago he taught college in Texas. Three female students accused him of sexual harrassment. One was so upset she quit.)

Looks like the Little Repugs have about 5 safe states left and they still have a couple of years for them to cause more harm to this country lead by Rehab Rush and his band of monkey spanking reprobates.

Honestly I do believe things are looking up. The Republicans voting against helping the country, Palin begging for dollars and Rush allowing his mouth to get the better of him. Things are looking up!

I know she is and also very capable. My point is she shouldn’t have to “hold her own” because these types of sexist comments should never have been allowed over the past year on this network. And they were.
That was must see teevee! And you are right Taylor, she gutted him like a deer. Its way past time that spineless cowards like Dick get treated like that.
