Kennedy Asks Hillary to Head Health Care Working Group

I doubt if this is what HRC had in mind.
Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.), who has announced plans to craft sweeping healthcare legislation next year, asked the former presidential contender to head a working group focused on insurance coverage.
[...] Kennedy, who chairs the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, announced Tuesday that he also had asked Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) to head a working group on prevention and public health, and Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski (D-Md.) to head a working group on improving the quality of care.
Again, it’s clear that Clinton’s role in health care will be one of share involvement, but not anything close to what she originally envisioned. Hey, but maybe in the end that’s enough for her in her role as junior senator from New York.
Some say it could be a fall back position if she declines secretary of state. I’m not seeing it. A working group on health care insurance is not nearly as sexy or as fitting a woman of her abilities. Dry as the desert comes to mind, though no one can doubt it’s an important component of the whole.
