Meet McCain’s New Foreign Policy Adviser: ‘Joe the Plumber’

On the very first official day of work for the McCain campaign, Joe played the Israel card. Man, this guy learns fast.
It’s come to this. John McCain and Sarah Palin are so desperate to win votes
that their team is endorsing the views of some guy who said his name was Joe
when it wasn’t. At the same time he also said that he was a plumber, which he
isn’t, at least not technically, because he has no plumber’s license. So, if ‘Joe
the plumber,’ whose real name is really Samuel Wurzelbacher, says an Obama win next
week equals “death to Israel, well, it must be so.
Besides Fox, the AP
jumped on the story to quote Samuel, er… “Joe the plumber.”
The Ohio plumber, whose real name is Samuel Wurzelbacher, also agreed with
a McCain supporter who asked him if he believed “a vote for Obama is
a vote for the death of Israel.”“I’ll go ahead and agree with you on that,” Wurzelbacher told the
man, retired Florida lawyer Stan Chapman who was visiting Ohio. …
This ridiculous back and forth had Shepard Smith shaking his head in disbelief.
I’m still trying to get my head around that people are interviewing this guy at all, especially on foreign policy. But on Israel? Are you kidding? The Fox headline defies description: ‘Joe the Plumber’ Backs Claim That Obama Would Bring ‘Death to Israel’. “‘Joe the plumber’ backs” some voter’s right-wing ramblings? This is election coverage now?
I won’t even bother with a defense of Obama, because it’s unnecessary in the
face of such utter absurdity. The McCain-Palin ticket is now officially a complete
and total joke.
Just imagine if they would win.
